Silhouette Critters

Good morning all, sorry for the late post, I totally forgot about the blog this morning. I blame the post holiday blues lol. We got back on Wednesday and now that everything is unpacked and the washing is nearly all done, I just want to go away again ;o))

Anyway, today's card is one I made a couple of weeks ago, after seeing something similar on Pinterest.

I used the Lawn Fawn Critters at the Dog Park set and cut the dogs with dark grey card. Then I used the same grey card to make an A5 card base.

I used black and white card to make the layers and a large dot embossing folder for the white panel.

I cut the circles with 2 different sized punches. I used the 1 3/4 inch and 1 1/2 inch EK Success punches for this.

I layered everything together and then used a greeting from the Lawn Fawn Party Animals set and heat embossed it with Ranger Fine Detail Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder.

Then I just added a few tiny silver gems to finish it off.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Graphic flowers

Good morning all and Happy Thursday. Hope you are all having a good week.

Today's card was all about the inks. I used the Hero Arts Graphic Flowers set and stamped the flowers using Memento Dew Drop Inks.

Then I cut them out with their matching dies and added a few leaves.

I used a watercolour paper for the background and quite literally splattered and sprayed watered down inks at it. You never quite know what you're going to get, but I really liked this one and the colours matched perfectly.

I stamped a sentiment using a Clearly Besotted stamp on to Vellum using Versamark ink. Then I heat embossed it with a glitter purple embossing powder.

I cut the background panel down to fit a 7 x 5 card blank and then arranged the flowers and leaves up one side. I cut the sentiment in to a tag shape and then added dazzlers to the flowers, and a few clear gems sprinkled around to finish it off.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Moon and back

Good morning, well if all has gone to plan this post will be going live as we are getting ready to return from our holiday. Hopefully we've had a lovely time lol.

Today's card is using a stamp from Mama Elephant called Shooting Star, that we have had for ages but has hardly been used. But recently I bought the die to go with it and now she's getting inked lol.

I teamed her with a Moon from the Altenew set called To the Moon, which is stamped in layers. For this one I used greys and a very dark brown. I then cut it out with a 2 inch round punch and chopped a chunk out of it with a slightly smaller round punch to leave the moon shape.

For the background I used a number of Distress Inks, including Seedless Preserve, Salty Ocean and Mermaid Lagoon. I love the purple with the blues, it gives a really nice effect.

I stamped a sentiment from the Altenew set and heat embossed it with Liquid Platinum fine detail embossing powder from Ranger.

Then added a few small stars coloured yellow and topped with clear Wink of Stella.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Miss you already

Good morning all, I really hope that my blog scheduling is going well while we are away. This one is scheduled for Tuesday 26 July, so hope that's right!

Today's card is one I made for a lovely lady who left our team at work last week. She has now finished her placement and has moved on to start a new job, so this is the card we all signed for her.

I used the little critters from the WPlus9 set Going Places and the bunnies are from the Wishing You set also by WPlus9.

I coloured them all with Copics and then cut them out with their corresponding dies.

Then I made some window frames from black card and the MFT Stitched Square dies. I arranged them on a 7 x 5 card blank and then added all the animals in to the windows.

I love that they all look like they are waving lol. Then I wrote a sentiment on the PC and printed it on white card backed with black. Simple!!!

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Have a flamin good birthday

Good morning all, I hope you have had a good weekend.

Today's card was made for Jude's birthday a couple of weeks ago. I used the flamingo die from a recent Papercraft magazine as the main image.

I cut the die from black card and added clear Wink of Stella to the wing area.

Then I softly inked a piece of white cardstock using distress inks for the background.

I made the wave paper using a stamp from a Simon Says Stamp kit with Memento inks. The grass clumps are from a Clearly Besotted set called Feeling Sheepish, which I coloured with Copic Markers and then added a Grassy Edge from MFT Stamps

I arranged it all on a 6 x 4 card base, added a sentiment that I printed on the PC and ran through the Minc machine with bright pink foil, and then added a few clear dewdrops to finish it off.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Sail away on your birthday

Good morning, hopefully this post is going live on Friday 22nd July while we are away lol.

Today's card is one I made for my son a few weeks ago. I used a Studio Calico map piece of card and then distress inked it with Tim Holtz inks.

I used a couple of circle dies to create the porthole window and cut the top layer with a wood effect paper from the stash. Then I wrapped a white string twine around it.

The little sailing boat is cut with a Simon Says Stamp die from one of their older kits and the wavey paper is from the same set.

I used the circle from the centre of the porthole plus a smaller stitched circle for the sentiment and stamped it with a sentiment from the coordinating stamp set.

Then I added a smaller sentiment in the top corner from a Mamae Elephant set called Mini Messages.

I inked everything with the same distress inks to make it look a bit aged and then added it all to a 6 x 6 Kraft card blank.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Unforgettable birthday

Good morning, I hope you are all well. I have scheduled some posts for while we are away, so hopefully they will work.

For this card I did a soft ink background using Tim Holtz Distress Inks, then used an idea I saw on Pinterest for the dogs and presents.

The one I saw on Pinterest had used bigger presents and smaller dogs lol but I went with what I had.

The presents are cut with Stitched Square dies from MFT Stamps and I inked them with the same distress inks as the base and added Washi Tape and stick on bows.

The dogs are from the Lawn Fawn Critters at the Dog Park set and are cut out with their coordinating dies. I then coloured them with Copic Markers.

I used a sentiment from a Mama Elephant set called Ella and Friends and I embossed it with Liquid Platinum embossing powder.

Then I added it all to a 7 x 5 card blank and dotted around a few sequins.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.
