Football Treat

Good morning all, I hope you are having a good week. I'm giving you a little break from the Christmas cards today, as it's my youngest Grandson's 9th birthday tomorrow, and this is one of the cards I made for him.

I saw something very similar on Pinterest a few weeks ago, so had a go at creating something on the same lines but using the stamps and dies that we have.

I started by cutting a pile of circles with a hexagon design, using a Simon Says Stamp (SSS), button die. Then I coloured panels on these with a black gel pen.

For the cupcake case, I used a SSS cupcake die and coloured the card blue, then added a yellow background to it. I used these colours for the card as they are the colours of the team kit, that he plays for.

The ball and shoe image is from an old Crafters Companion stamp set called Camden Town, Male 2. I coloured them with Copic Markers and then cut them out by hand.

I used Lawn Fawn Stitched Square Dies, to sit the cupcake on, and a simple sentiment from a Clearly Besotted Happy Birthday stamp set.

Then I cut a simple number 9 for the football, and used a red enamel dot with a piece of coloured card to put the cherry on top.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you next week.

Beary Christmas

Hello again.

Today's card uses a free stamp set received with a recent craft magazine.

I love this bear and his little birdie friend, so decided to make him the main feature of my card.

I stamped the images straight on to my card base, before masking the bear and adding the presents.

I coloured everything with Copic markers then added sparkle pen to the present ribbons, the bird and the bear's paws.  I also used some liquid pearls for the eyes and nose.

The sentiment is from the same set and was stamped in Tuxedo Black ink.

To finish off I added Nuvo drops in white blizzard to the background.

Hope you like my card for today.

See you on Friday.  TTFN Jude xx

Scandi Bear

Good morning folks, I hope you are having a good week so far, Today's card was a bit of a "let's see what this would look like" card, and I'm glad to say I really like it lol.

Well, all except the big crease in the top corner, which happened as I was putting the adhesive on to the back of the image to stick it on the card!!! oh well at least I know it looks nice and I can make some more 😏.

All of the stamps, including the polar bear and jumper are from last month's issue of Creative Stamping magazine. I wanted to see what it would look like all stamped in red, for a 'Scandi Christmas' feel.

I used Versafine Satin Red ink, which is a beautiful ink for detail stamping, on to cream card.

Then I added a piece of deep red embossed card to a cream deckled edge card blank, and added the image on top. Very, very simple to make, but they do make lovely cute cards.

Hope you like it too, take care and I'll see you soon.

Winter trees

Welcome friends.  I hope you had a good, crafty weekend?

We had visitors so didn't get much time in the craft room.

The card I am sharing today was supposed to be a quick make but ended up taking ages.  Still I'm happy with the finished product.  The only issue I have is the sparkle shows up too well lol.

I stamped a tree on to the centre of a piece of white card then cut a mask for it.  I then stamped either side of the centre tree, moved my masks and did the outer ones.

I coloured all the trees with Copic markers then added Spectrum Noir sparkle pen.  This is a new one and it was a little juicy!

The tree is from Lawn Fawn's Trim the Tree set.  I cut several of the strings of lights in different shimmery cardstock to create the decorations.  I then added Nuvo drops in White Blizzard and Strawberry Coulis to look like baubles.

The sentiment is also from Lawn Fawn.  I cut this 3 times from blue card stock, to match the base card, and stacked them together with liquid adhesive.

For the base I inked the top with Distress Ink in Picket Fence and added some shimmer spritz.  I then cut out the trees and added a snow bank at the bottom.

Hope you like it.  TTFN Jude xx

May Your Season be Merry

Good morning folks and happy Friday, I hope you have had a good week and are looking forward to a nice weekend.

Today's card has a bit of everything thrown at it. I knew I wanted to make a scene with the greeting cut into the middle, but the rest was anybody's guess lol.

I started with a piece of white card 6 x 4 inches, and cut a circle into the middle using an MFT Zig Zag Stitched Circle die. Then using another piece of the same card I put this behind the circle cut out and stamped the wreath and sentiment.

These stamps are from a set we got last Christmas from a crafty magazine, the set is called: Woodland Winter stamp and embossing folder set.

I used the embossing folder to emboss the trees, then I inked them using the matching stamp and Altenew Crisp Dye inks from the Coffee Break set. I wasn't thrilled with the result so I used Copic Markers in similar shades to give them a bit more coverage, before I masked them and used Distress Oxide ink in Faded Denim for the background.

As I wanted a little more detail on the card, I used a couple of my small Cut and Make dies and cut some holly and berries from white card, and a little reindeer from Neenah Desert Storm card.

I coloured the holly and berries with inks and Copic Markers and then added some Wink of Stella glitter pens in green and red for a bit of shimmer. For the reindeer, I cut him 3 times and stacked them together, then inked him with Distress Oxide inks and added the compulsory red nose with red Wink of Stella Glitter Pen.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Caped cuties

Welcome back!

I've gone away from Christmas again today to share a birthday card with you.  This one is for my great nephew, Bailey.

I used the Caped Cuties set from Clearly Besotted for this idea.

I stamped and coloured the six characters in the set but could only fit five of  them on the card :)  I also did two sets of the buildings.

I took black card stock and cut two hillsides using a Mama Elephant die set, and added them to another piece slightly smaller than a standard card base.

I stamped some white stars using Distress Ink in Picket Fence then added the buildings on to the hills.

Once I was happy with their placement, I added the super heroes.

I stamped a sentiment from the set and popped it up on foam tape.  The final touch was some Spectrum Noir sparkle on all the outfits.

Hope you like this fun card as much as I do.

Sparkly Reindeer

Good morning folks, I hope you are having a good week so far.

Today I have a couple of really quick and simple Christmas cards to share with you.

For these cards I used stamps from Issue 49 of Creative Stamping Magazine. It includes lots of great images but I loved the reindeer!

After stamping the reindeer with Versamark ink, I heat embossed it with Stampendous Disco Black embossing powder on to gold shimmer card. Then I repeated it using Cosmic Shimmer Detail Bright Gold Embossing Powder, onto a deep burgundy card base.

I chose a sentiment from the same stamp set and heat embossed this with the same powders. Then all I needed to do was add the gold panel to a black card base, and there you go, two very quick but stylish Christmas cards.

Hope you like them, take care and I'll see you soon.

Tree wreath

Hello!  Hope you've had a good start to your week.

Today's card is another Christmas offering.  This one is a little different to normal as it only uses one small stamp.

I set a small Christmas tree up in the MISTI and stamped four square pieces of card in a light green ink from Altenew.  I stamped and turned the card.

I swapped colours and reset the stamp to fit in between my previous trees, then stamped again in a darker green.  I added some shimmer pen over the top for a little sparkle, but it doesn't show up well on camera!

I loved how this turned out but it needed something else.  I took a red Copic marker and added some berries in between the trees.  I then went over these with Strawberry Coulis Nuvo drops.

I took a sentiment from the set containing the tree and red embossed it.  This is Primary red from WOW and I love how bright it is.

I cut my piece down to 3.5 ins square, added to a green matt and placed on a cream 4 x 4 ins card blank.

Hope you like it.  TTFN Jude xx

Polar Pal

Good morning all, I hope you have had a good weekend. I managed to find a bit of time to spend in the craft room this weekend, and also managed a trip to the cinema to see Justice League. It was very good 👍😉.

Anyway, today's card was one I made after the latest issue of Creative Stamping magazine landed through the letter box. I just love this stamp set so had to use it as soon as possible.

It contains this cute polar bear along with some other polar pals, and with a bit of masking, you can add jumpers and hats etc. to them all. For this one I had already made the inky background so I stamped his jumper to match.

I made the background by dry brushing Cosmic Shimmer Acrylic Spray Inks on to watercolour card. I didn't want a sprayed background so just used them a different way.

Then I used an MFT Stitched Circle die to die cut his little hillside, and used one of the sentiments from the stamp set with Wow Metallic Silver Embossing Powder, to heat set it.

I coloured the polar bear and his jumper with Copics and then added a few clear dew drops, and a stack of presents from a Lawn Fawn stamp set, before popping it all on a dark purple card base.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.
