Christmas church

Monday soon comes around, doesn't it?  This weekend has flown by and I didn't get done half of what I intended.

I did however get a few cards made. Here's one using the inky backdrop again splattered with white to act as a snowy night sky.

The church is from an old Docrafts set called Village that we have had a few years.  We hunted everywhere to find the matching die only to find that it is discontinued, so I resorted to cutting by hand! Lol!

The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn and finishes off  my little card quite nicely.  Hope you like it.

Happy Everything

Good morning all and happy Friday, I hope all of my friends 'across the pond' had a lovely Thanksgiving and got to spend time with family and friends. I'm off to see my grandsons tomorrow, which will be lovely as it's been too long this time since I last saw them.

Anyway, today's card is one I made to send to a crafty friend overseas. I stamped the Wishing You sentiment multiple times across a piece of white card and then heat set it with white embossing powder.

Then I used distress inks to blend a background. For this I used Shabby Shutters and Faded Denim, with a touch of Gathered Twigs and Chipped Sapphire.

The Bunny's are from the WPlus9 Wishing You set and I coloured them with Copic markers.

The balloons are die cut from WPlus9 balloon dies and the sentiment is a mix of the Simon Says Stamp Happy and Smile set and the MFT Happy Everything set.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Reindeer Wonderland

Morning all!  I'm back with a Christmas card again today.

This one uses the fabulous Reindeer Games from Mama Elephant.  We managed to get the stamp weeks ago but the die was out of stock.  It was finally delivered last week so we can now do some cutting as well :)

These reindeer were embossed on to a printed paper from a pad called Frozen, along with a sentiment by Tim Holtz for Stampers Anonymous, called Handwritten Holidays.

I used some Liquid Pearls for red noses and added the paper to a 6 x 6 card blank.  I think it worked really well.  What do you think?

Let it Snow

Hi there, hope you are having a good week. Today's card was made using the new Polar Pals set from Avery Elle.

I used a background paper from a Graffix paper pad called Frozen for the background. Then I used the Avery Elle Snow Caps dies for the mountains and landscape.

The same set was used for the little tree and the cable car, I love this set lol. Then I used the Polar Pals set for the penguins and cut them out with their matching dies.

I coloured the penguins with Copic markers and then used a load of Wink of Stella to make all of the mountains and snow sparkle. It's a pity it doesn't pick up very well on photo's.

I finished the card off with a sentiment from a Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous set, stamped with Jet Black Archival ink.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you Friday.

Flying by

I have another birthday card to share today.  This one uses the an Avery Elle stamp and die set called Fly By.

I kept it quite simple by using blue card stock for the sky and stamping the plane, clouds and banner on to white.

A blue and red plane coloured with Copic markers provides the only colour in the scheme.

Hope you like it.

Deer Friend

Hello all and happy Monday. I do hope you have all had a good weekend. Jude and I managed a little bit of Christmas shopping ;o)) but not much crafting. We also got to visit one of our aunt's and uncle's on Saturday evening as it was uncle's birthday. We had a really lovely time, I took my granddaughters with me and they loved seeing them. Now really looking forward to seeing them again near Christmas.

Anyway, on to today's card. For this one I combined an old Indigo Blu stamp called Bare Forest with a new Lawn Fawn stamp from the Toboggan Together set.

First of all I stamped the trees using Versamark ink and then heat embossed them with black sparkle embossing powder.

Then I inked all around the edge of the card with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.

I used a white gel pen for the snow and a white metallic marker for the trees, then some white embossing powder for the snow. The little deer is coloured with Copic markers and cut out with it's matching die.

A simple sentiment and a snowflake was all it needed to finish it off. Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

A monsterously happy birthday

My last card for the week.  Must say I'm looking forward to the weekend.

This is another 'borrowed from Pinterest' idea and it was relatively easy to put together.

I punched circles in black and white for the eyes.  Another circle cut in half became the teeth, and a large circle die cut the mouth section.

Then all that was needed were some chipboard letters and stamps.

What do you think?

Dare to dream

Good morning folks, hope you are having a good week. Today's card is one I made for a friend who left work last week. She has gone off to pastures new so I made her a little card and gift to take with her.

The bunny is from the WPlus9 Wishing You set and the little birds are from the Lawn Fawn Hello Sunshine set. I coloured them all with Copic markers and then cut them out with their matching dies.

The sentiment is from an old stamp set by Joanna Sheen but is still one of my favourites. I stamped it with Jet Black Archival ink and then drew a circle around it with a black fine liner.

I used Mama Elephant's Landscape Trio for the grass bank and then assembled it all on a 6 x 4 cream card blank.

I added a little message on the inside too,

and then finished it off with a bit of glossy accents and a few sequins.

This is the little gift I made. I have been working on making some wire jewellery and this was my first attempt at an adjustable bangle bracelet.

I used 14 gauge silver plated wire and then added a couple of charms that are very suitable for my friend.

Hope you like them, take care and I'll see you soon.

Penguin sled

Wednesday already and only 37 days to Christmas!  I have quite a few cards to make still, so need to get a shuffle on.

This is back to the Lawn Fawn Toboggan Together.  I sat the little penguin on his sled  on a landscape cut with the Mama Elephant landscape trio, which has a lovely stitched detail.  I multi-stamped the tree in Cottage Ivy and New Sprout Memento inks.

The background is done with Paris Dusk and Nautical Blue, then I dipped the end of a paintbrush in Mister Huey's opaque white colour mist to make a few stars.

The sentiment is also Lawn Fawn from the Snowy Backdrops set.

Hello There

Good morning all, hope you are all having a good week. I have had a little break from the Christmas cards this last week and been making some cards to send to crafty friends abroad.

This one is off to the USA, so I hope she likes it. I saw this card on Pinterest so made my own version.

I used the WPlus9 Wishing You stamp set for the bunnies and coloured them with Copic markers.

Then I used MFT Stamps Zigzag Stitch Rectangles and Circles for the background and coloured them with Memento inks.

The sentiment is from another WPlus9 set called Strictly Sentiments 2 and is stamped with Jet Black Archival ink.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Foxy wishes

Monday again and I'm back with another birthday card.

This one uses the fox and bird from Party Animal by Lawn Fawn.  I've teamed them with some Wplus9 balloon dies and a layered sentiment set by Frantic Stamper.

I've deliberately kept this one plain and simple.  What do you think?

Little Penguin

Good morning all, hope you have had a good week and are looking forward to a nice crafty weekend.

Today's card had a name change after Jude said calling him Lonely penguin made her sad ;o) lol. So he is now called Little Penguin.

I used the More Stories stamp set from Avery Elle for the penguin and coloured him with Copic markers.

Then I used the postage stamp dies from Marianne Designs to create the frame. I used a green glitter card for the frame and snowbank, then a watercoloured piece for the sky.

I stamped the sentiment from a Crafters Companion Sentimentals set using Jet Black Archival ink and then added a bit of interest with a die cut snowflake and some little stamped snowflakes.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you next week.
