Pretty in pink...

Good morning, hope your weeks have all gone well. As Jude mentioned yesterday we spent the day at the Childrens Hospital with Joe, her youngest, while he underwent another operation. This time on both wrists, we were trying to work out how many that is now and think we are at about number 32! Far too many general anaesthaetics for one young man :-(. But I'm very happy to report that Joe came through it all swimmingly, as he normally does, and wonders what all the fuss is about lol.

But, anyway, on to today's card. This is a digi image that I printed a while ago but never got around to colouring, so I sat the other evening and coloured a couple. I decided to do her in pinks and purples as I haven't used them in a while.

I think she is really sweet and purfect for a little girls birthday. I started with the image and coloured her with Promarkers and Flexmarkers.

I used a couple of sheets of patterned paper from the Red Hot collection by Docrafts. I have had the paper pad for ages but never used it, and the papers are really pretty.

I matted these with a bright pink card from a Core-dinations pad and layered them on to a 6x6 plain white card blank.

I added the topper, a doilie and flowers to make it really girly.
Then finished it off with a little bit of lace, some feather ribbon and some hearts from my stash.

What do you think? Hope you like it too.

Many thanks for stopping by today, see you soon.

  4. Very cute card! Love the image and all the embellishments used! Your photo reminds me of what happens to me when I photograph outside...the sun turns my pictures a blue-ish color. Idea: I photograph just inside the door of the house now (with the door open)with my card on top of our flat-top trash can with a piece of white paper under the card. It seems to cut out the ultraviolet rays to avoid the blue-ish tinge. Thanks for joining us at the Sweet Stampin' Challenge! --Gail
