Happy Birthday Tweetings

Good morning all, I hope you have had a good week and are looking forward to the weekend. Today's card is one I made using a free stamp and embossing folder set from the latest issue of Papercraft Essentials.

I used the embossing folder on some white card and then coloured in the trees and ground with Copic Markers.

Then I used some of the stamps to stamp the birds and extra branch.

I coloured the birds in with Copics too and then added the sentiment.

I have tried to take some of the photo's at angles so you can see the lovely dimension on the trees, but unfortunately it doesn't show up too well on camera.

So I'm afraid you may have to take my word for it that it does make a really lovely background lol.

Hope you like it, take care and have a great weekend. I'll see you next week.

Aniversary Roses

For my daughter and son-in-law's wedding anniversary last week, I dug out a lovely stamp set I've not used before.  This is Round Roses from Clearly Besotted.  We've had it a while but I just never got around to using it.

I used three inks from Altenew - Rouge, Crimson and Velvet - these are fabulous dye inks and I love the colours together.

I used New Sprout and Northern Pine for the leaves then the same red combo for the single petals.  These are actually the flame from a birthday candle set!

The sentiment is also from the Round Roses set.  I backed my panel with red card then added some polka dot paper to finish.

I think this is another easily repeatable card which I should add to the stocks.  What do you think?

Anniversary Wishes

Good morning all, I hope you are having a good week. Today is definitely Hump day for me, I have to have a mouth biopsy today to check the diagnosis of oral Lichen Planus. So not my most favourite day ever lol ;0)

Anyway, this sweet little card is one I made for my niece and her husband as they celebrated their 2nd wedding anniversary last week.

I used the two different sized Wonky Elements from Avery Elle for the background and main panel. Then I used the Clearly Besotted Bottoms Up set to stamp the wine glasses.

I stamped them with Versamark ink and then heat embossed them with Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder. As they don't have a matching die I just cut them out by hand.

The Anniversary die cut is also a Clearly Besotted set, called Happy Anniversary. I didn't want to use the stamp, so I did two die cuts and stuck them together for dimension, then wrote across the top with a white gel pen.

I stuck these on foam pads to the card panel and then stamped the rest of the sentiment with Memento ink. Then I just added a few gold and white sequins to finish it off.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you Friday.

Balloons for your birthday

I’m back with a very quick and simple card made with the September card kit from Simon Says Stamp.

I haven't done much with this set so far so I really need to get going!!

I simply stamped three balloons in coloured ink and the sentiment in black.  This panel was then backed with a piece of black cardstock and added to an A6 card blank.

This card will just be added to the stash for when it is needed.  It would be quite easy to mass produce in different colours to keep in, which I may just do.

Hope you like it.  TTFN Jude xx

Round roses

Good morning all, I hope you had a good weekend. We didn't do a lot this weekend, but we did go out with the dogs for a bit yesterday and did a couple of miles on the Trans-Pennine Trail again, which was really nice.

Today's card was made for a lovely friend who had a birthday a couple of weeks ago. It gave me the chance to try out one of the new sets that we got from Clearly Besotted. This one is called Round Roses.

This set may only be small but it makes beautiful images, and as it has three different sized roses it is very versatile.

I used Altenew Crisp Dye Inks for the roses, and stamped them on a piece of white card in a random fashion. The ink colours I used are Blush, Rouge, Crimson and Velvet.

Then I stamped around and between the roses with the leaf stamps using Memento inks, in New Sprout, Pistachio and Olive Grove.

I cut the panel down to fit a 7 x 5 card base and then cut two stitched hillside borders, one white and one black. These are from the Mama Elephant Stitched Border Trio set. I layered the white over the black and then backed the whole panel with black card before stamping a simple sentiment.

Then I added three sticky enamel hearts to finish it off.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Dreams come true

Hurrah it's Friday at last!  Thus has been a really busy week and I'm looking forward to spending some time in the craft room this weekend.

As you know last weekend was my granddaughter's christening.  This is the card I made for her uncle to send to her.

This cute image is from Lilly of the Valley and needed little more than a sugar pink matt and a simple sentiment.

The sentiment is from a new Lawn Fawn stamp and die set called Critters Ever After.

On your Christening Day

Good afternoon all, apologies for there not being a blog post this morning! I totally forgot about it, I really don't know where my head is at this week lol.

Anyway, this card is one I made for my great niece's Christening on Sunday. It was meant to be very simple with just an image and the sentiment. But... I don't do simple very well, I always think it needs something else, so this is how it ended up.

The church stamp is from a Papermania set called Village. We have had it a couple of years and have looked everywhere for the matching dies for it. They are made by Xcut, but they were discontinued so I haven't been able to track them down. But I decided it was about time it came out of the packet and be used anyway lol.

I stamped the church with Memento ink and then coloured it with Copic markers. For the sentiments, I wrote them on the PC and then printed the sheet on my laserjet printer. Then I ran it through the Minc Machine with some gunmetal foil.

As you can see I couldn't just leave it there, so I dug out some very tiny stamps from a couple of sets and started stamping them around the image.

It didn't end up with just the few I imagined, but it reminded me of confetti, so I liked it anyway lol.

Hope you do too, take care and I'll see you soon.

Anniversary gift card

Happy Wednesday crafty friends and thanks for visiting us.

Today I'm sharing a gift card I made for my daughter and son-in-law's wedding anniversary gift.

I used the Paper Hug stamp set from Simon Says Stamp to make my card.  The inks are blush, rouge and velvet dye inks from Altenew.

The sentiment comes from the Mr & Mrs set by Clearly Besotted.

I used plain white card and some cherry red cardstock to match the inks.  The banners were cut with MFT stitched flags.

I stamped happy anniversary inside to finish off.

Hope you like it.  TTFN Jude xx

English roses

Good morning, I hope you are all well. I'm off work today as I have to visit the dental hospital later. Urgh - I think I'd rather be at work lol.

Anyway, today's card is one I made for a friends birthday last week. I used the Clearly Besotted set called English Roses.

I used Altenew Crisp Dye Inks for the flowers and Memento inks for the leaves.

I cut them out with their matching dies and then arranged them on the front panel of a 7 x 5 card blank.

I stamped a simple sentiment from a Wplus9 set and then added Wink of Stella to give the flowers some shimmer and finished off with a few sequins.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.
