Round roses

Good morning all, I hope you had a good weekend. We didn't do a lot this weekend, but we did go out with the dogs for a bit yesterday and did a couple of miles on the Trans-Pennine Trail again, which was really nice.

Today's card was made for a lovely friend who had a birthday a couple of weeks ago. It gave me the chance to try out one of the new sets that we got from Clearly Besotted. This one is called Round Roses.

This set may only be small but it makes beautiful images, and as it has three different sized roses it is very versatile.

I used Altenew Crisp Dye Inks for the roses, and stamped them on a piece of white card in a random fashion. The ink colours I used are Blush, Rouge, Crimson and Velvet.

Then I stamped around and between the roses with the leaf stamps using Memento inks, in New Sprout, Pistachio and Olive Grove.

I cut the panel down to fit a 7 x 5 card base and then cut two stitched hillside borders, one white and one black. These are from the Mama Elephant Stitched Border Trio set. I layered the white over the black and then backed the whole panel with black card before stamping a simple sentiment.

Then I added three sticky enamel hearts to finish it off.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Fishing friends

Good morning all, I hope you have had a good weekend. We had a lovely wet walk along a bit of the Trans Pennine Trail on Saturday with my son and the dogs. It wasn't raining when we left but the heavens opened as we set off, luckily we had jackets with us and the dogs really don't mind the rain lol.

Anyway, today's card is one I made for a friend of my son's who's birthday was at the end of August. Col loves to fish, so I dug out this old but never before used stamp from Crafter's Companion.

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then coloured it with Copic Markers.

I used one of the sentiments that comes with the stamp, as this really does apply to Col :)

I trimmed the panel down to fit on a 4 x 6 card blank and then matted it with a soft silver card.

Then I just added a few clear droplets to finish it off.

Hope you like it, have a great week and I'll see you soon.

Spring daisy

Good morning all, I hope you are having a good start to the week.

Today's card is one I made for a lovely friend who had a birthday last week. I used one of our new stamp sets, this one is Spring Daisy by Altenew.

I used an A6 card blank and matted the white card front with a piece of soft silver shimmer card. Then I stamped the flowers directly on to the card front.

For the daisies, I used Altenew Crisp Dye Inks in Arctic, Dark Chocolate and Peach Perfect.

Then for the leaves I used Memento Inks in Pistachio and Olive Grove.

I stamped an extra flower and cut it out with the matching die, and then raised it on foam pads to give a bit of depth to the card. Then I added a simple sentiment from the Altenew Beautiful Day stamp set.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Happy Birthday Friend

Good morning all and Happy Friday. By now hopefully Jude and I are laying in the sun somewhere in Ibiza! But whether sunny or not, it's a week away from work and all the pressures of normal life lol.

Today's card is very very similar to one I made last week, but as I liked it so much I decided to do a very similar one for another friends birthday which was a couple of days earlier.

I used the MFT bike die cut from thick grey card and then three different Washi tapes laid diagonally.

This time I used a 7 x 5 card blank and used the turquoise as the accent for the paper layer.

The friend stamp is from a Simon Says Stamp, Flowers on my mind set and the happy birthday is from a Studio Calico stamp set. Both are stamped with Jet Black Archival ink.

I added a few flowers to the bike, this time using more blue and a small piece of gypsophila.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Friends

Good morning all, hope you are having a good week.

Today's card is one I have made for a friend who's birthday is on Friday.

I used elements from the new Trimcraft goody bag that includes Back to Basic Monochrome papers, flowers, doilies etc.

I used some plain black card for the background and a Tonic Studios border punch across the centre.

Then I used Dynamics and Diesire flourishes also in black card and then built up a flower on the doilie.

The sentiment is from a Creative Expressions set, stamped in black Memento ink and cut out with a tag die.

Then as I thought it was a bit plain I added some silver gilding cream and clear Wink of Stella pen to the black card and flower.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Friendship has its perks

Good morning blog friends, hope you are all well today and manage to get some crafty time in this weekend.

Today's card is made using a Simon Says Stamp set from last year.

I wanted a card for a friend who's birthday is next week, and remembered I hadn't used this stamp and die set yet.

I used the coffee cup die and cut 2 cups from a gloss black card.

I stamped the sentiment stamp with black archival ink, and then stamped the coffee steam with the same ink.

I gave it all a mat of black on the cream card base and it was all finished.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Name frames

Good morning all, I have had a request for a couple more of the Scrabble tile name frames this week. So this is what they turned out like.

I had to buy a big 12 x 12 frame for this first one as it needed to have 9 names in it.

I added a little bird and an owl to finish it off.

This second one is much smaller so could go in a standard 10 x 8 frame.

And this one just had a little bird added to the corner.

They are both very simple but elegant I think. Hope you like them too.

Take care, see you soon.

True Friendship

Good morning all. Today's card is one I made up using two of the digi stamps that I coloured last week.

I thought I would have a change and instead of making a birthday or anniversary card etc. I decided to make a just because/friendship card.

The images are from All Dressed Up and are coloured with Copics. The stamp is from the Creative Expressions Classic Sentiments set.

The paper is from the stash and the frame is part of the Curiosity Corner collection from Dove Crafts.

I finished it off with a paper heart, a metal badge, and a few pearls.

Hope you like it. Take care and I'll see you soon.
