From Owl of Us

Good morning all, hope you are having a good week. I made this card last year but only got around to posting it today.

I needed something for a lady at work who was leaving the team, so I looked on Pinterest for inspiration. I saw a card with the saying "from owl of us" so went with that.

The large owl is a Papermania stamp. I stamped it with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and then coloured it with Copic Markers. Then I did a bit of paper piecing over its wings and the circles on it's tummy.

The smaller owls are from the MFT Stamps, Things With Wings set, again stamped with Memento Ink and coloured with Copics.

I used paper from a Trimcraft paper pad called What A Hoot. Then I made up the sentiment with some Molly Moo stamps and the Lawn Fawn, Finlay's ABC's dies.

I had one little owl left over so I popped him on the inside.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Fly away

I decided to pick up the Copics again this weekend.  It seems ages since I did any colouring but I started again with a relatively simple image. This is from Wee Stamps and is called Love Trip.

I coloured the image to match the papers I had chosen (which makes a change)

These papers are from What a Hoot by Trimcraft.  All the papers are shades of pink and brown and, as the name suggests, some feature owls in the design!

I matted the papers on to an old gold card and layered them all on a 6 x 6 kraft blank.

Hope you like it.

Friends

Good morning all, hope you are having a good week.

Today's card is one I have made for a friend who's birthday is on Friday.

I used elements from the new Trimcraft goody bag that includes Back to Basic Monochrome papers, flowers, doilies etc.

I used some plain black card for the background and a Tonic Studios border punch across the centre.

Then I used Dynamics and Diesire flourishes also in black card and then built up a flower on the doilie.

The sentiment is from a Creative Expressions set, stamped in black Memento ink and cut out with a tag die.

Then as I thought it was a bit plain I added some silver gilding cream and clear Wink of Stella pen to the black card and flower.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Man Made

Good morning all, hope you are looking forward to a good weekend. We are all off out today to my aunts for a family get-together. There will probably be too much food and too much drink, but hey that's a good night lol!.

One of the reasons we are going is that as well as being our cousin Kirsty's birthday last week, it is also her husbands next week and he is turning 40.  So this is the card that I have made to send to David.

I have used papers from a new pad called Man Made, by First Edition. I took inspiration from the Trimcraft website and built a city scene with the papers.

I cut pieces out of a building piece and then cut more pieces to decoupage them.

Then I used one of the cloud papers behind and decoupaged a couple of those too.

I used an Olive green card for a change, and cut the middle out with a Go Kreate large scalloped square die.

Then I used Papermania stamps and dies to cut the 40 out of green vellum.

Finally, I cut the happy from the same green vellum using a Britannia die.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.
