Sending Joy

Good morning all, I hope you have had a good weekend. We had our granddaughters to stay over on Saturday, four of them (two of mine and Alan's and two of Jude's) ranging from 3 to 10 years old.  They were all so excited that they got to spend time with their 'cousins' lol, and they were all beautifully behaved for us.

Right, today's card is as clean and simple as it gets for me lol. I started with a piece of pink card, and stamped it with a Hero Arts background stamp called Graphic Snowflakes Bold Print, in Versamark ink.

Then I used Fine Detail White Embossing Powder from Simon Says Stamp, and heat embossed it, then I cut the panel to size with a Stitched Rectangle die from an MFT Blueprints Dienamics set.

The little ornament die is a Cut and Make die, and the letters are from Lawn Fawn's Finlay's ABC's. I cut each three times from white card, and stacked them together with liquid adhesive for dimension.

I used the string and bow from a Memory Box Snowflake die, for the string to my bauble, as I like the design. I just cut it off the snowflake and then pieced it on to my bauble with glue, and my card was all finished.

Yappy Birthday

Good morning all and happy "hump day", I hope you are all having a good week so far. Today is another card that's all about the animals lol.

For today's card I used the Lawn Fawn Happy Howlidays stamp and die set. This is normally a Christmas set, but I think it can be used for birthdays too. 

I stamped and coloured the images, using Copic Markers, then cut them out with their matching dies. 

I cut the large letters using Avery Elle's Finlay's ABC's dies, and thick grey card.

Then for the background I cut the MFT Stamps Proof Positive Cover Up die, and ink blended Distress Oxide inks over the top. This time using Wild Honey, Fossilized Amber and Squeezed Lemonade.

I added it all to an orange note card and then added a liner inside, that I had stamped with a couple of the Altenew Family Matters stamps.

From Owl of Us

Good morning all, hope you are having a good week. I made this card last year but only got around to posting it today. 

I needed something for a lady at work who was leaving the team, so I looked on Pinterest for inspiration. I saw a card with the saying "from owl of us" so went with that. 

The large owl is a Papermania stamp. I stamped it with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and then coloured it with Copic Markers. Then I did a bit of paper piecing over its wings and the circles on it's tummy.

The smaller owls are from the MFT Stamps, Things With Wings set, again stamped with Memento Ink and coloured with Copics. 

I used paper from a Trimcraft paper pad called What A Hoot. Then I made up the sentiment with some Molly Moo stamps and the Lawn Fawn, Finlay's ABC's dies. 

I had one little owl left over so I popped him on the inside.

Yappy birthday

Good morning all, well if all has gone to plan and this post has scheduled correctly, Jude and I will be getting ready to leave Ibiza today to return home after our week away. Boo Hiss ;o)) But hopefully we are nice and rested and ready to get back into things at home!

Today's card is one I made for my son-in-law Ian for his birthday last month, after I saw one very similar on Pinterest here. I used the Lawn Fawn Critters at the Dog Park stamp set and stamped one of the dogs three times on to a piece of light blue card. 

Then I coloured them with Copics and die cut some little party hats from the Lawn Fawn Party Animal set to go on their heads. 

I used the MFT Stamps Cloud Stencil for the background and inked through the mask with Versamark ink, then I heat embossed it with white embossing powder. 

I layered the card with a couple of different mats on to a 7 x 5 card blank and then added a sentiment from a Studio Calico stamp set. 

I wanted a punny sentiment so I crossed out the H and replaced it with a die cut Y from the Finlays ABC's die set also from Lawn Fawn.

Birthday Circle

 Good Morning all, hope you have had a good weekend. Jude and I have been getting things ready for our holiday and trying to get some blog posts scheduled for while we are away. 

Luckily I had quite a few cards made that I haven't yet posted so I was able to use some of these. This card is one I made a few weeks ago for a friend at work. I won this Simon Says Stamp Birthday Circle die in an Instagram giveaway. 

It is a lovely die and also comes with the cupcake die too. I cut the happy birthday circle from black card and then used it as a frame on a piece of white card with a circle aperture cut in to it.

I used a 7 x 7 card blank and a piece of bright paper for the base, then put the white layer on top. I then cut the cupcake die from black card and from a stripey paper and layer them together to make the cupcake. Then I added some glossy accents and a few micro beads to make the sprinkles on top. 

I used the Finlays ABC's dies from Lawn Fawn for the letters, then finished the card with a few sequins.

Birthday girl

Good morning crafty friends, hope you are having a good week. We are back from the Lakes and have been celebrating Alan's birthday with meals out etc. but now it's back to normal and back to work for Alan. I'm not back until Tuesday as it's a bank holiday on Monday here in the UK.

Today's card is one I made a few weeks ago now, but never got around to sharing it. I used the Lawn Fawn Finlay's ABC's dies to cut the Sister from turquoise polka dot card stock. 

Then I used an MFT die to cut the pierced strip for the word to sit on. I then stamped underneath this with a Lawn Fawn Scripty Sayings stamp, using Jet Black Archival ink. 

The image is from a Lili of the Valley Artpad and I cut her out by hand. Then I added her to the edge of the card front, so it looks like she is walking on to the ledge. 

I layered the front on to another piece of the polka dot card and then added it all to a 7 x 5 card blank.

Good morning all, hope you are having a good week. Today's card is a few weeks old now, but it's the one that I made Alan for Fathers Day, back in June.

I got the idea from a card on Pinterest, I just changed the wording slightly and the colours.

I typed the black writing on the computer, then printed it out on to white card. Leaving spaces to fit in my die cut letters.

Then I cut the gold and silver letters with the Lawn Fawn Finlay's ABCs die set. 

I punched out a little heart from red card and then added a crystal heart over the top for the O. 

Then I matted the card front on to a piece of silver card and put it on to a 7 x 5 card blank. I finished it off with a red crystal heart and stamped 'Happy Fathers Day' on the inside.

Butterfly wishes

Good morning friends, are you looking forward to the weekend? I know I am, can't wait for a bit of a rest! lol. 

Today's card is another that I made for mums birthday a couple of weeks ago. I took inspiration from Pinterest again and came up with this card using the craft supplies that I have. 

I used a 7 x 7 card blank for the base and a soft turquoise shimmer card for the background. Then I took a piece of white card and ran it through an embossing folder to give me the detail on the left hand side. 

Then I used a Spellbinders Lacey Ovals die to cut a small aperture in the card. The leaves are from a MFT Stamps die which I cut in the same white card. 

The larger butterflies are from an old die that we got with a magazine, and I added some pale turquoise pearls to their bodies. 

The sentiment die was also a magazine freebie and I cut it twice so that I could shadow the turquoise layer behind the white one. 

I used a new alphabet die set for the Mum. This one is called Finlays ABC's by Lawn Fawn, again I cut it twice to shadow it. 

I placed the die cut leaves behind the front of the card and then fed them through the oval aperture. Then I punched a couple of butterflies to go on top. 

A few extra pearls was all it needed to finish it off.
