Love you more than Ice Cream

Good morning all, I hope you are having a good week and are looking forward to a crafty weekend.

Today's card is one I made for my eldest granddaughter's 11th birthday last Friday. I used an older Simon Says Stamp set called Ice Cream Dream, and even dug out some coordinating paper from the stash!!!

I apologise for the shadows on the pictures, but we had awful rain here all last week, and so the natural 'daylight' was a bit sparse, so I had to take some photo's with artificial lighting, and they never look as good. I was trying to capture the shine and glitter on the lollipops and ice-cream but it kept leaving a shadow from my phone lol.

Anyway, I stamped one of the sentiments from the set onto plain white card, then I stamped the ice cream cone right above it using Versafine Onyx Black ink, and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. I stamped the lollipops using the same method on another piece of card and then coloured them all with Nuvo Alcohol Pens, and cut the lollipops out by hand. 

I cut the main image and sentiment using an Shaped Tag MFT Die from Blueprints 13 Dienamics dies, and added this to a pink note card using the patterned paper as a mat.

I added the lollipops using tiny foam strips, then covered them and the cone with Nuvo Crystal Glaze, and dropped a bit of Plasma Purple Pure Sheen Glitter along with a little Rock Candy Distress Glitter on to the top of the ice cream.

Monster Hugs

Good morning all, I hope you are having a good week so far. As well as being Mother's day here on Sunday it was also one of my nephew's birthdays, so today's card is one of the ones I made for Joe.

I used the Monster Mash set from Lawn Fawn and stamped the images and a sentiment on to a piece of plain white card, using Versafine Onyx Black ink. Then I heat set them with clear embossing powder.

I coloured the monsters with Copic Markers, and added spots to some of them with coordinating colours.

Then I used a couple of the tiny heart stamps from the same set to stamp all over the background, this time using a pale grey ink from Altenew.

To finish I cut the panel down with a stitched rectangle die from an MFT Blueprints Dienamics set, and added it to a mid blue note card.

How much is that doggy in the window?

Good morning all, I hope you are having a great week. I have another Furry Friends card for you today.

I used the same set from Creative Stamping magazine Issue 68, that I used for my kitty card the other day. This time I used one of the doggies, which I stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, and then coloured with Copic Markers.

I cut my furry friend out by hand and then sat him on some patterned paper from a First Edition 6 x 6 pad, called Sail Away.

I used a Britannia Opening Window die, and cut it from some more paper from the same pad. Then I also cut it from white heavyweight card and stuck this behind the patterned paper for strength.

I cut the panels down using a Stitched Rectangle die from an MFT Blueprints Dienamics set, and added it all to an orange note card. Then I added a sentiment from the same set and a couple of silver pearls to the door handles.

Purr-fect day

Good morning, I hope you are all having a good start to the week. Today's card was made using the Furry Friends stamp set from Issue 68 of Creative Stamping Magazine.

I started by stamping the chair, cats and string ball using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, and then I coloured them with Copic Markers. 

Once they were coloured I cut them out by hand, then decided to wrap the ball with fine embroidery thread. This one is a Silver Metallic colour and is made by Madeira, which we have had for years and doesn't seem to ever run out lol.

I used an MFT Dienamics Die to cut out a white panel, then I stuck my images on top using a wet glue.

The sentiment stamp is from the same set, I stamped it and then cut it out by hand so that I could shape it around the chair lol.

Having a Giraffe!

Good morning all, I hope you have had a great weekend, and managed to squeeze in some crafty time. We have been up to our ears in IKEA flat pack lol, but the craft room is starting to look a little more organised.

Today's card was made using an older stamp set from Creative Stamping Magazine - Issue 57 called Go Wild. I do seem to go back to this set whenever I am looking for inspiration for a man's card.

I started by stamping the giraffe with Toffee Versafine Ink, and then clear heat embossing over the top. Then I masked him off and stamped the scenery behind him using Vintage Sepia Versafine ink, and clear embossing powder.

I stamped a sentiment from the same set, and then added a few birds with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. 

Then I used an MFT Stamps, Stitched Rectangle Die to cut the panel out, and backed it with a piece of plain brown card. Then I added it to a Kraft note card to finish.

Wishing you a wonderful day

Good morning all, I hope you are having a good week so far. Today's card is the one I made for my son and daughter-in-law's 4th wedding anniversary which was on Monday.

I used the My Monthly Hero Kit from Hero Arts for January 2019, which is a super pretty kit. 

I started my stamping and colouring the images with Copic Markers and then cutting them out with their matching dies. 

For the background I used Nuvo Mica Mist in Nebula Blue and Turkish Rose. I sprayed them a couple of times each trying to keep the blue more at the top, and the pink more towards the bottom.

Then I used an MFT Blueprints Dynamics Stitched Rectangle die to cut the panel out, and added this to an A2 turquoise/aqua card blank.

I stamped the start of the sentiment on the front of the card, and then finished it off on the inside, then I arranged my images on the front, using foam pads for Dimension.

Sending Joy

Good morning all, I hope you have had a good weekend. We had our granddaughters to stay over on Saturday, four of them (two of mine and Alan's and two of Jude's) ranging from 3 to 10 years old.  They were all so excited that they got to spend time with their 'cousins' lol, and they were all beautifully behaved for us.

Right, today's card is as clean and simple as it gets for me lol. I started with a piece of pink card, and stamped it with a Hero Arts background stamp called Graphic Snowflakes Bold Print, in Versamark ink.

Then I used Fine Detail White Embossing Powder from Simon Says Stamp, and heat embossed it, then I cut the panel to size with a Stitched Rectangle die from an MFT Blueprints Dienamics set.

The little ornament die is a Cut and Make die, and the letters are from Lawn Fawn's Finlay's ABC's. I cut each three times from white card, and stacked them together with liquid adhesive for dimension.

I used the string and bow from a Memory Box Snowflake die, for the string to my bauble, as I like the design. I just cut it off the snowflake and then pieced it on to my bauble with glue, and my card was all finished.

Lots of Love

Good morning all, I hope you are having a good week so far.

Today's card was made with the Tonic Craft Kit no 12, which is full of autumn leaves.

To start with I arranged lots of the leaves on to a piece of white card, around the sentiment die. Then I ran the card through the Gemini leaving the blank space in the center. I also ran a few of the smaller dies through with scrap card to add in as accents. 

I cut the panel out with a Stitched Rectangle Die from an MFT Stamps Blueprints Dienamics set, and then added an alcohol ink background behind it.

The background was made with a few different shades of alcohol ink, plus a copper mixative on to textured card. This doesn't get the movement like shiny card or Yupo paper does, but it's good for stripes etc.

I stamped the sentiment and die cut it, then placed it in the center of my leaves. Then I arranged the smaller leaves around and added them with foam pads. Then to finish it off, I put it onto a blue note card, and added small droplets of Sea Breeze and Auburn Pearl Nuvo Jewel and Crystal Drops.
