No Prob-llama

Good morning all, I hope you have had a great weekend.

Today's card is made using stamps from Creative Stamping Magazine Issue 57 called Go Wild, along with the background images from the April 2018 Card Kit from Hero Arts.

I started by stamping the llama onto plain white card, colouring it with Copic Markers, and then cutting it out by hand. I stamped some cactus images onto another piece of card and then masked them to ink a background using Distress Oxide Inks.

I cut the background down to size with a Stitched Rectangle die from MFT Stamps, and then added the llama and sentiment on top with foam tape for dimension. Then I popped it all onto a plain white A2 note card.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Having a Giraffe!

Good morning all, I hope you have had a great weekend, and managed to squeeze in some crafty time. We have been up to our ears in IKEA flat pack lol, but the craft room is starting to look a little more organised.

Today's card was made using an older stamp set from Creative Stamping Magazine - Issue 57 called Go Wild. I do seem to go back to this set whenever I am looking for inspiration for a man's card.

I started by stamping the giraffe with Toffee Versafine Ink, and then clear heat embossing over the top. Then I masked him off and stamped the scenery behind him using Vintage Sepia Versafine ink, and clear embossing powder.

I stamped a sentiment from the same set, and then added a few birds with Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

Then I used an MFT Stamps, Stitched Rectangle Die to cut the panel out, and backed it with a piece of plain brown card. Then I added it to a Kraft note card to finish.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Koala-ty Birthday

Good morning all, and happy Friday, I hope you have all had a great week and are looking forward to a crafty weekend.

Today's card is one I made for my son-in-law's birthday last month. I used the stamp set from Creative Stamping Issue 57, called Go Wild.

I stamped the main image with Onyx Black Versafine ink, and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.

Then I used Olympia Green Versafine Ink to stamp the leaves, and heat embossed those the same way.

I coloured the rest of the image with Copic Markers, including the background.

Then I 'adapted' three of the sentiment stamps that came with the set to make up the birthday greeting, and popped it onto a teal coloured note card.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.
