Iced greetings

Welcome back.  Yes you've got me again.  I'm giving Jen ANOTHER birthday present by letting her off her posting for today, lol :)

Today's card is from an idea I saw on Jennifer McGuire's blog.  This uses the Simon Says Stamp Frozen Fractals Stamp set.

I multi-stamped the snowflakes with a silver memento ink onto cream pearl card.  I then cut out the word Christmas using a new die set from Creative Expressions and stamped the word Merry above it with black ink.  In hind sight I should have used a softer colour for this.

I cut three more of the words from plain white card and stacked them all together with the stamped word.  I then popped this back into the negative space, added a silver matt and adhered it to a white card blank.

The finishing touch was some platinum liquid pearl drops in the snowflake centres.

Good morning all, hope you are having a good week. Today's card is a few weeks old now, but it's the one that I made Alan for Fathers Day, back in June.

I got the idea from a card on Pinterest, I just changed the wording slightly and the colours.

I typed the black writing on the computer, then printed it out on to white card. Leaving spaces to fit in my die cut letters.

Then I cut the gold and silver letters with the Lawn Fawn Finlay's ABCs die set. 

I punched out a little heart from red card and then added a crystal heart over the top for the O. 

Then I matted the card front on to a piece of silver card and put it on to a 7 x 5 card blank. I finished it off with a red crystal heart and stamped 'Happy Fathers Day' on the inside.

A couple of bag charms and some earrings

Good morning all, great title isn't it? lol. Couldn't think of anything else so that's what we got today ha ha.

Anyway it does describe very well the content of today's post. I finally got around to making the earrings for Jude with the left over beads from when I made her the bracelets weeks ago! and I used up some odd beads to make a couple of pretty bag charms. One for me and one for Jude :o))

Purple beads

Good morning all, hope you are looking forward to a nice crafty weekend. I'm hoping to get some time in the craft room, but well just see how the weekend pans out. 

I finally got around to opening the beads that Jude got for Christmas yesterday. They are beautiful in all different shades of purple. I have so far managed to make her a couple of bracelets out of them. 

And still have 3 beads left over to make her a pair of earrings and a keyring.

Now I can start on these lovelies too :o))

Pearls

Good morning blog friends, and happy Sunday. Hope you are all having a good weekend.

My grandson's have been over for the weekend, so we had a belated birthday tea for Cody yesterday. I can't believe he is 8 already, doesn't seem like yesterday when he was born so tiny and so early. Now you wouldn't believe that he was born at just over 30 weeks! he is nearly as tall as my chin already ;o)

Anyway, having them here for the weekend has meant the crafting has been put on the back burner a bit, but I did find half an hour to make up a little bracelet and matching earrings.

I had seen a similar style to this on a Facebook page a few weeks ago and kept meaning to have a go. It is really simple, but quite fiddly!

Anyway, I really like them and so did Jude! as soon as they were finished they were claimed lol, and she managed to break the bracelet within a couple of hours, so I've had to fix it again!

New Year's Eve 2013

Morning all.  This is the last post of 2013! Hard to believe but tomorrow is a new year.  Don't they fly when you get older?

I don't have many more Christmas cards left to show you, this is the one I made for our brother John to send to Jen and Alan.

It is a 6 x 6 kraft card covered with a reindeer paper from the Docrafts collection, Christmas in the Country.  I matted the ready made topper on to blue then silver mirror card.  The sentiment was just matted with blue.  Very simple but I like it.

I know it's early but I would like to wish you all a happy and healthy 2014.  I hope it brings you all you wish for.  Happy New Year.

Frosty friends

Morning all. Hope you're keeping well.

I've yet another Christmas card to share with you today. 

This image was printed from one of our Christmas CDs last year. Unfortunately it's so long ago I can't remember which one lol.  Then again I have difficulty remembering what I had for breakfast some days ;)

The photo paper used to print the topper gives it a nice finish.

I matted this with blue card and layered them over a bright Christmas paper. 

All that was needed was a snowflake brad, a blue ribbon bow and a sentiment to finish off my card.

Normal service resumed

September already!!  Can you believe how the year is flying?  Pretty soon we'll have to start on Christmas :o

After 2 weeks leave I am back to work today.  The time has flown but I needed the break.  It is also time for the kiddly winks to return to school so the roads will be hellish again.  Oh well only 16 weeks to Christmas break ;)
 

As well as returning to work, today is also Kayleigh and Ian's 2nd wedding anniversary.  It seems no time at all since she was stressing us all out with details of the wedding. Forcing us to make cards and table decorations, instructing us on how she wanted the tables arranged, and the message tree (!) - well don't get me started.....
 

Seriously though it was a lovely day and the fact we had all made something or had some input to the day made it even more special.

Beading time again

Good morning all, hope everything is well with you.

 

Today's post is about beads again. I know it's very sad but I do find beading quite therapeutic lol. I think it's the magpie in me that's attracted to all things shiny and pretty lol.

 

 

 

I made a few of these for my son's girlfriend when they were going to Thailand a few weeks ago, I absolutely love these pale pink pearls so I will definitely be trying to get some more of these :o)).

 

This last set I have made for Mum. I've also made a couple of sets for Jude and some for me :o)) but I forgot to photograph them, doh. So they will have to be a future post lol.

New Jewellery

Good morning folks. Hope you are well and having a good week. Alan and I are both on annual leave this week so we are trying to make the most of it and get our house sorted ready for Jude moving in! Over the last few years since our kids left home, we seem to have spread out to use every available inch of storage space! including the fitted wardrobes that Jude will be using - eek. So I spent the best part of yesterday going through clothes and deciding what needs to stay, what needs to be binned and what needs to be recycled! It's difficult to get rid of things that have hardly been worn lol, but I am a bit of a hoarder when it comes to clothes, shoes and handbags! Jude would probably put it a lot stronger than that lol.

 

Anyway, to get over the pain of losing clothes I have had to make some more new jewellery :o)) well it doesn't take up as much room does it?

 

 

I really like these red beads they are so pretty.

 

 

The earring blanks are my favourites yet, I like the teardrop design.

 

 

Nice summery colours, green and yellow.

 

 

and finally some new porcelain beads with pretty flowers, some look quite oriental.

Keyring gifts

Good morning all and happy Tuesday. Well that weekend flew by quicker than I can spend money on craft ;o)) OK not quite but it went pretty quick. As Jude said yesterday Joe has eventually moved in to his new home, so we spent the weekend getting things sorted for the move. I saw Jude for a few mins last night and she assures me she is fine:o). It will be difficult these next few weeks while Joe gets settled and Jude finishes packing the house up to come to ours. But we will look after her and when she gets too mardy I'll pull her back into line as usual. Lol ROFL, I've never been able to do that so don't think it's likely to start now lol. 

Anyway enough waffling, these are the little gifts that Jude asked me to make for Joes school transport driver and escort. 

 

 

This first one was for Margaret, nice and girly,

 

 

and this one is for Bill.

 

 

I also made a couple of little gift boxes to put them in.

 

 

I don't make boxes very often but with the help of my Ultimate Pro they are really easy. So think I'll make a few more for little gifts instead of buying gift bags etc.
