Dress Up On Your Birthday

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you are having a good week. Today's card is the one I made for my beautiful granddaughter's 10th birthday last week. 

I saw something similar on Pinterest, and adapted the design to suit my supplies. I started by designing the main text and clothes rail on the PC, and then printed it onto my smooth white card. 

I made the dress using a heart punch cut piece of spotty card, and added a rectangle to the bottom, which I shaped slightly to look like leggings. Then I wrapped a piece of chiffon fabric around the middle, and added silver ribbon and a pink bow.

I fashioned a coat hanger from a pink paperclip, and then added a couple of pieces of the pink ribbon to the top of the dress and hooked them over the hanger. Then I added a couple of silver brads to hang the dress and bag on, before mounting the panel on to a pink card base with foam tape.

I used another punch to cut the bag from pink and black card, and then layered them slightly offset so it was more 3D. Then I added another sentiment, using Archival ink, and finished the card with a few pink and clear enamel dots.

Christmas Sparkle

Good morning folks, I hope you are having a great week.

Today's card uses an MFT Stamps, Star Shaker Window and Frame Die, with the matching Shaker Pouch. This does make life easier when it comes to shaker cards.

I used the die to cut a star in to a piece of gold shimmer card, and cut the frame from black card. Then I ran the gold card through the Big Shot with a Snowflake Embossing Folder.

I added a mixture of gold and bronze sequins and shapes to the shaker pouch and then added another piece of black card to the back to seal it.

I added the whole thing to a black card base and then cut a tag from black card and heat embossed a simple sentiment on to it. Then I added a gold snowflake brad to finish it off.

Oh Christmas Tree

Good morning all, hope you are having a good week. Today's cards are two I made using the same stamp and a couple of embossing folders. 

I started with the background card and cut a Christmas Tree frame from thick card to use while embossing the background. You lay the frame over the top of the embossing folder and this stops it embossing the whole thing.

Using this technique means you get a flat area of your card where you can stamp a sentiment or an image. 

For these cards I used a Marianne Designs Christmas Tree for the frame and a Creative Expressions stamp for the tree from their Let it Snow collection.

For this first card I used a sentiment stamp from JustRite from their Mix and Match Christmas Blessings set.

and for the second card I used a sentiment from a Molly Moo set. 

I stamped both cards with Versamark ink and then embossed one with Gold and the other with Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder from Ranger.

Then I added a couple of brads to the trees and the sentiment.

Workshop Embossed card

Good morning all, well that weekend flashed by. That's what you get for enjoying yourself lol. 

Anyway today's card is very simple indeed. I needed a few male cards as we have Jude's son-in-law's birthday this week. 

So again I turned to trusty old Pinterest as my own mojo has took off on holiday without me lol. I came across a very similar card that I liked so I recreated it with the supplies that we had. 

I used a Darice Workshop embossing folder and some bronze shimmer card for the background. 

Then I used white corrugated card across the centre with a plain piece of the bronze card. 

I added a metal tag brad and some dark green twine and then stuck this piece across the middle. 

Then I used a WPlus9 stamp set called Strictly Sentiments 1, stamped with Jet Black Archival ink and cut into a flag shape by hand. 

Then I added it all to a 7 x 5 card blank.

Alice and Scamp

Good morning all and welcome to the weekend, and a long one here in the UK. Yay, we love bank holidays lol. 

Today's card is made using the adorable Alice and Scamp digi from Saturated Canary.  

I coloured her with Copics and Distress Markers and then cut her out with Spellbinders Labels 29. 

The papers are from a Vintage Summer Fete booklet that we have had for quite some time, but never used!

I backed them all with dark brown Centura Pearl card and added it all to an 8 x 8 card blank.

I made the flower/rosette from some hessian cut with the Tattered Floral die, then added a paper flower, a brad and some leaves. Then I finished it off with a couple of pieces of dark green ribbon.

Then all it needed was the little butterfly to finish the card.

Princess Honor

Good morning all hope you are well. Some of us are enjoying a long weekend and it's great not having to go back to work tomorrow. 

It's been a tough weekend too though. It was dads birthday yesterday and the first without him. So we all went to the cemetery and left him some flowers and cards. He would have been laughing his socks off at us all stood in the pouring rain lol. 

But on to today's card. This one is called Princess Honor. She is another of our new saturated canary digis. 

I coloured her with Promarkers and cut her out with Spellbinders Labels 29. The I inked the edges with Crushed Olive Distress Ink.

The paper is from an old Papermania pack I think, and I matted it on to some dark brown card. I roughed up all of the edges to give it a bit of a distressed look. Then turned back one corner and held it down with a little princess castle brad.

I added some flowers and leaves to the bottom and inked them with the same Distress Ink as before.

Then I made a banner from white card and stamped Happy Birthday on it with Jet Black Archival. I stuck this to the card with two small round foam pads and then added the pearls over the top.

I finished the card with three more pearls in the bottom corner. Hope you like it, see you soon.

Pack Light

Hello again friends.  Bet you can't guess what I've been doing the past few days? LOL

Yep, more practicing with colours and Saturated Canary images.  I love the detail you can get with these images and they are so fun.

So this is Pack Light - something I could never be accused of :-)

She is mainly done with Spectrum Noirs for a change.  I'm really more a Promarker girl but it's good to try other things occassionally.

The papers I've used are from Lili of the Valley and are called Bonnets and Bowties.

I also dug out a couple of brads from the stash.

So do you think my colouring is improving??

First Love

Good morning all, hope you are well today.

Today's card is using another of the marvelous digi stamps that I got from Time for Tea Designs. This one is called First Love. Isn't she sweet?

I coloured her with Promarkers and then cut her out by hand.

The papers are from the new Dovecraft range, Curiosity Corner, they are gorgeous. Everything is inked with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink.

I found the burlap panel hiding in one of the drawers and now I'm in love and really neeeeed to get some more. The flowers are Tattered Florals from Sizzix, shaped with my pokey tool, inked edges with DI and then held together with little brads. I haven't used brads for absolutely ages (cause I forget what we have lol) and I do love them.

I finished the card with a Kraft tag with a die cut sentiment, tied on with twine and then a little bird charm added.
