Dress Up On Your Birthday

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you are having a good week. Today's card is the one I made for my beautiful granddaughter's 10th birthday last week.

I saw something similar on Pinterest, and adapted the design to suit my supplies. I started by designing the main text and clothes rail on the PC, and then printed it onto my smooth white card.

I made the dress using a heart punch cut piece of spotty card, and added a rectangle to the bottom, which I shaped slightly to look like leggings. Then I wrapped a piece of chiffon fabric around the middle, and added silver ribbon and a pink bow.

I fashioned a coat hanger from a pink paperclip, and then added a couple of pieces of the pink ribbon to the top of the dress and hooked them over the hanger. Then I added a couple of silver brads to hang the dress and bag on, before mounting the panel on to a pink card base with foam tape.

I used another punch to cut the bag from pink and black card, and then layered them slightly offset so it was more 3D. Then I added another sentiment, using Archival ink, and finished the card with a few pink and clear enamel dots.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Bee-you-tiful

Good morning all, I hope you are having a good week. Today is my oldest granddaughters 8th birthday, and this is one of the cards I made for her. Happy Birthday Lily May, hope you have a wonderful day. xxxxxxxx

I started by typing the sentiment on the PC and then printing it with the Laserjet printer. Then I used gold and platinum foil half and half over the words and ran it through the Minc machine. This gives the letters the two-tone look.

I used a Marianne Designs hexagon die and paper from the stash to create the honeycomb pattern. I stuck some of them flat to the card and raised some of them on foam pads.

Then I used an MFT die called Grassy Edges for the grass border and a Lawn Fawn stamp and die set called Hello Sunshine, for the big bees.

I coloured these with Copic Markers and then used a tiny bee from the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero March kit, to stamp here and there around the card.

I did add a granddaughter word under the sentiment before I gave it to Lily, but after I'd took the photos.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Lily's Room - Door Plaque

Good morning all, hope you are well. I'm back at work today after a few days off because of the flu etc. So I hate to think what's waiting for me lol. But I'm sure it will be OK.

You may remember a couple of weeks ago, I made a door name plaque for one of my granddaughter's, Isabelle.

Well when her big sister saw it she asked if she could have one, but a little more grown up. Well she is a big 6 lol. So this is what I've made for Lily.

I used an artists canvas board again, but this time I covered it with lots of pieces of paper from the stash, all cut at different sizes.

I inked all around the edge with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink, and then sealed it all with Ranger Glue N Seal.

The little girl is an All Dressed Up digi stamp, which I coloured with Copics and Spectrums. I stuck her on with Cosmic Shimmer and then went over her with Glue N Seal.

I coloured the chipboard letters with a Picked Raspberry Distress Marker, and stuck them on. I wanted to give the letters a bit of definition so I went around them with a black fine liner pen.

Then I added three different types of lace to the bottom using the hot glue gun and finally finished it off with a ribbon bow and some paper flowers.

Hope you like it, Lily loved it.

Take care, see you soon.

Me to You card

Good morning all. Today's card was a very simple one to put together.

I used a ready made Me to You topper and stuck it on to a die cut Lacey Circle.

The paper is from the stash and all matted with Coredinations card stock.

I used a 7x5 card blank and then created a sentiment banner on the computer. I stuck this across the middle of the card at an angle.

Then I added a stick on 6 at the top and I finished it off with a few cupcake stickers piled up in the bottom corner.

Like I said really simple today but hope you still like it.

Take care and I'll see you soon.

Lily May

This is the last of the cards for Lily's birthday last weekend.

The image is a Time for Tea design and I'm really pleased with the shading on this one.  I can see improvement in my colouring, but still a ways to go yet.

This is a die we received as a freebie a while ago.  It is quite versatile and it certainly gets put to use a lot.

So there she is.  A pretty card for a pretty girl.

Hula Hoop Love

Happy Sunday everyone.

Yesterday we took a run to the coast to celebrate Lily's 6th birthday.  We had a lovely day even though the weather wasn't the best, but at least it didn't rain!

This is the card I made for her Uncle John to send.  The image is Hula Hoop Love from Saturated Canary (again!)

[Excuse the rubbish picture!]

I received some vellum pennants and matching papers on my Quick Cards Made Easy magazine last month, and used these for the card.

I used an adhesive number and cut 'Today' with a die.

A quick and easy card to put together.

Love U Lily May

Good morning. Hope you have all had a good week and are enjoying your weekend so far. Today is my grand daughters 6th birthday. So today's post is one of the cards I made for her.

I used the LaLa Land digi stamp called cheeky monkey. This is one of my first LaLa Land stamps and I love them, so will definitely be getting some more.

I coloured it with promarkers and then cut her out by hand. Then I 'sat' her on a fancy shaped piece of card.

The papers are old ones from the stash, and I added them to an 8 x 8 card base with a piece of dark brown card stock.

I cut the love sentiment with a Paper Smooches die and then added a cardboard stick-on U underneath.

I finished the card with a stick-on number 6 and lots of pretty flowers.

Hope you like it. See you soon, take care.
