Nothing is better than a true friend

Good morning all, and happy Bank Holiday Monday, (if you are in the UK). Anything that gets us a Monday off of work is a good day in my book lol.

Today's card is one I made for mum to give her friend for her birthday last week. I used the Spring Daisy set from Altenew and stamped them with the Warm and Cosy Crisp Dye inks.

I then added extra definition with a very fine brush and the Coffee Break ink set, and finished the flowers off with a very healthy covering of Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter pen.

The wooden background paper is from a Simon Says Stamp kit and the sentiment is from the Altenew Fresh Freesia set, heat embossed with SSS Fine Detail White Embossing powder. 

I added another sentiment from the Fresh Freesia set on an inner liner, and then finished the card with a few clear Dew Drops.

To My Wonderful Friend

Good morning all, I hope you are having a good week so far. Today's card was one I made for a friend who had her birthday yesterday. 

I used the Spring Daisy stamp set from Altenew and stamped the flowers with the Warm and Cosy Crisp Dye ink set, and the leaves and stems with the Tropical Forest ink set, both also from Altenew.

I wanted a little more detail on the flowers so I used a fine brush and some of the Coffee Break inks to add a little more detail here and there.

The wooden effect and the Kraft and gold paper are both from Simon Says Stamp monthly kits. We eventually emptied all of the papers from the kits into a basket, so now can see what we have and hopefully use more of them !!

I used a Kraft card blank and cut the papers to fit, then used glue and foam tape to arrange the flowers and leaves. 

I used a sentiment stamp from a Simon Says Stamp set called It's No Secret, which I heat embossed on to gold satin card, and then cut out with a tag die. Then I added a few clear dew drops to finish it off.

Sending Hugs & Happy Thoughts

Good morning all, and Happy Hump Day. I hope you are all having a good week.

Here is a nice bright and cheerful card for you today. I made this one a few weeks ago but then forgot about it, lol. I made it using a technique that I had seen Jennifer McGuire do, heat embossing and colouring on Vellum.

I used the Spring Daisy set from Altenew and stamped the outlines on to plain white vellum using Versamark ink, then heat embossed them with white embossing powder.

Then I used a mixture of Spectrum Noir Glitter pens and Wink of Stella pens to colour the flowers. I love how this turned out with all that shimmer.

I added in a bit of colour detail at the end with a brown fineliner, but the rest was done with Gold, Red, Green and Clear glitter pens. Then I added a yellow background on the card blank and a few clear dew drops to finish it off.

Spring Daisy

Today I have another card using an Altenew stamp set.  This one is Spring Daisy.

I started by stamping on white card with Versamark and heat embossing with white embossing powder.

I inked the stamped image with Distress Oxide inks in Fossilised Amber, Spiced Marmalade and Walnut Stain.  I then cut it out with the matching die.

I used one layer from the leaves to stamp on my card base using the same Walnut Stain ink then added another layer in Cracked Pistachio.  I then added the cut flower, gluing just in the centre so the outer petals have a little lift.

The sentiment is also from the set and was stamped in inky black pigment ink.

I don't make many simple cards like this but I really enjoyed putting this together.  Hope you like it too.

Sunshine and daisies

Happy Monday peeps.  Hope you had a lovely weekend.

My card today was made using the Altenew set called Spring Daisy.  I always think of sunshine with daisies so the card had to be nice and sunny.

 

  I have used the Altenew Warm Sunshine and Caramel Truffle die inks for this card.  

I used just the highlight and centre layers of the set which creates a lovely background.

I then stamped one flower and die cut it for the feature element.

 

I stamped a piece of vellum and heat set my sentiment with brass embossing powder then added it to a fish tail banner.

I added my panel to a yellow 4.25 x 5.5 note card and called it done.  I did consider adding some Wink of Stella but decided it wasn't needed.

Sending flowery hugs

Good morning all, and welcome to November, I hope you are well and having a good week.

Today's card is one I made as a request from my daughter-in-law for one of her good friends. I used the Spring Daisy set from Altenew, but changed the colours to look a little more like sunflowers.

I stamped the outline stamp with Dark Chocolate Altenew ink and then did the inner stamps with Mango Smoothie and Warm Sunshine.

Then I used a brown Pigma Micron pen to add more colour to the centres. The leaves were then stamped with Memento Inks in Olive Grove and Pistachio.

I cut the panel down to fit on a 7x5 card base and then added a soft gold mat using a stitched rectangles set.

The sentiment is from a WPlus9 set called That is All. I stamped the first part directly on to the card front and then stamped and diecut the word Hugs several times and layered them together to give the card a bit of dimension.

Then I finished it off with a few clear droplets.

Spring daisy

Good morning all, I hope you are having a good start to the week. 

Today's card is one I made for a lovely friend who had a birthday last week. I used one of our new stamp sets, this one is Spring Daisy by Altenew.

I used an A6 card blank and matted the white card front with a piece of soft silver shimmer card. Then I stamped the flowers directly on to the card front.

For the daisies, I used Altenew Crisp Dye Inks in Arctic, Dark Chocolate and Peach Perfect.

Then for the leaves I used Memento Inks in Pistachio and Olive Grove.

I stamped an extra flower and cut it out with the matching die, and then raised it on foam pads to give a bit of depth to the card. Then I added a simple sentiment from the Altenew Beautiful Day stamp set.
