70 Years Young

Good morning folks, Monday again so quickly ! I hope you have had a good weekend, and welcome home mum, hope you have had a great holiday, now I might get some ironing done again 😉😝😘. (only kidding xxx)

Friday was our uncle's seventieth birthday, so this is the card I made for him. I used the numbers again from the latest issue of Creative Stamping magazine, this time stamped in Sapphire Crisp Dye ink from Altenew.

Then I used a stars stencil and Broken China Distress Oxide Ink, and lightly brushed the ink through the stencil with a Clarity Stamping Brush.

I used a double stitched rectangles set to emboss the pattern on to the front panel and a slightly larger one onto the card front.

Then I raised the front panel with craft foam and added a few shiny dark blue star sequins to finish off.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Sending flowery hugs

Good morning all, and welcome to November, I hope you are well and having a good week.

Today's card is one I made as a request from my daughter-in-law for one of her good friends. I used the Spring Daisy set from Altenew, but changed the colours to look a little more like sunflowers.

I stamped the outline stamp with Dark Chocolate Altenew ink and then did the inner stamps with Mango Smoothie and Warm Sunshine.

Then I used a brown Pigma Micron pen to add more colour to the centres. The leaves were then stamped with Memento Inks in Olive Grove and Pistachio.

I cut the panel down to fit on a 7x5 card base and then added a soft gold mat using a stitched rectangles set.

The sentiment is from a WPlus9 set called That is All. I stamped the first part directly on to the card front and then stamped and diecut the word Hugs several times and layered them together to give the card a bit of dimension.

Then I finished it off with a few clear droplets.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Hip hip hooray

Good morning all, I hope you have had a good week. Do you have any plans for the weekend? We are going to my niece's tomorrow as it's her eldest daughter's 5th birthday today. So we are going to have a little tea party with family.

As I can't show you any of Keira's birthday cards yet, today's card is one I made for her baby sister back in June when she turned 1.

I used one of my very favourite Avery Elle stamp sets, called Ellie. I love this little elephant, I have used her so many times on different cards.

I cut her out with her balloon and coloured them with Copic markers. Then I added Glossy Accents to the balloon for some shine.

I inked a cloudy background with Distress Inks and then cut a window frame with Crealies Double Stitched Rectangle Dies.

The banners are from another Avery Elle Set called, More Stories and the sentiments are a mixture of Avery Elle and Simon Says Stamp.

I popped it all on to a 6 x 4 card blank and then added lots of little heart and star sequins.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.
