Fairy wishes

Good morning all, I hope you have had a good week. Are you ready for the weekend? it's a nice long one if you're in the UK. Today is my beautiful Niece's birthday, and this is one of the cards I made for her. So happy birthday Cat, hope you have a lovely day sweetheart.

I used the Fairy Friends set and teamed it with the new Flower Border die, both from Lawn Fawn.

I coloured the images with Copic markers and cut them out with their matching dies.

The green spotty card background came in the packaging of my Hero Arts, March Hero kit. I just thought it was too nice to waste lol.

I used an A2 note card and cut the sentiment from grey card using Britannia dies.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you next week.

Caped cuties

Hello again friends.

Today's card comes to you courtesy of Clearly Besotted's new Caped Cuties stamp set.

I love these sweet little super heroes with their masks and capes.  They can rescue me any day lol!

I stamped them in tuxedo black memento ink and coloured the characters with Copic markers.

As I couldn't get the matching die set at the time, I had to cut these by hand.  I don't think they turned out too badly.

I then die cut a circle from the black card and created a shaker window.

The sky scraper background is from a die set we've had for ages, but I can't remember who made it!

I added some silver sequins and stars to the shaker pocket and stamped a sentiment from the set to finish off this super birthday card :)

Hope you like it.

Hooray, it's your birthday

Good morning all, I hope you are having a good week.

Today's card is all about the bling. I used a Hero Arts Triangle background stamp and stamped on black card with Versamark ink.

Then I heat embossed it with Wow Metallic Brass embossing powder. I love how bright this shows up on black card.

Then I used the Lucy Abraham for Clearly Besotted, Hooray die, to create a window in the card front. I used my Fuse Tool and a CD wallet, to create a pocket for the sequins to sit in behind the window.

I use CD wallets as they are relatively cheap and a good size to use for shaker cards. If you haven't tried the fuse tool, it is really good, it makes it easy to cut a pocket down to size and seal the sequins inside.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you on Friday.

Simon Says Stamp April Card Kit #2

Morning everyone.

Today's card was made using the Simon Says Stamp April kit.  The May one is due soon and it is sooo cuuuute, lol

I watched Vicki P make 10 cards from this kit on her You Tube channel (here) and was inspired to make some of the simple designs.  This one uses a third of a sheet of 6 x 6 paper!

The little pictures have a surround similar to that on a polaroid picture.  They look really good grouped together, so I chose 4 designs and added them to the centre of my card blank.  This is a US size A2 made with card from the kit.

The images are raised slightly on foam tape so they have a little dimension.
I then used some of the black sticker sheet to add words to a couple of the pieces.  What do you think?

That's all for today but I'll see you soon.

Hoppy Birthday

Good morning all, I hope you are fit and rested after the weekend and looking forward to the new week. I'm hoping you are as I know we are not! Working all week and then working on the house and garden all weekend, does not make for happy bunnies on Monday mornings lol.

But never mind, I do have happy frogs for you instead ;o))

These little fellas are from a Studio Calico stamp set that came with a kit. I stamped them with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then coloured them with Copic markers.

I used the hat from the Mama Elephant Three Amigos set and the bow tie from a Lawn Fawn set called Critters at the Dog Park. I think it makes them look quite dapper, lol.

Then the sentiment came from a Hero Arts set called Animal Messages.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Foxy wishes

Yay it's Friday!!

Work has been really busy the last few weeks and I really look forward to my weekends, so today can't go quick enough for me.

This card is another showing my obsession with colour washed skies.
This time I've used my Gansai Tambi watercolours to create a beautiful sunset.  I love the warm feel of this sky.

The fox is again from the More Stories set by Avery Elle.

I really like how he seems to be looking hopefully off in to the sunset and wishing on the crescent moon.
(Ok that may be just in my head but it makes me happy!)

Hope you have a fabulous weekend.  TTFN Jude xx

Happy Birthday to Ewe

Good morning all, I hope you are having a good week. I must say we are all a bit shattered at the minute so there isn't much crafting going on. We are busy with work as well as home, so by the time the evenings come around we are a bit too shattered to do anything lol.

But anyway, today's card is one I made a couple of weeks ago using the Feeling Sheepish, Clearly Besotted stamp and die set.

How cute are those little faces? lol. They are also really easy to colour. I stamped mine with Tuxedo Black Memento ink, then cut them out with their matching dies. Then I coloured them with Copic markers.

For the background I used a piece of pale green Coredinations card and then inked it with Peacock Feathers distress ink, to give a bit of variation.

The sentiments are from the same set. I stamped the larger Ewe directly on to the background once the distress ink was dry.

Then I stamped the rest on to card and cut it out with an MFT Stamps Stitched Banner die.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you next week.

Whimsy swing

Hello again!

This sweet little image was coloured back in February as part of Kathy Rac's 30 day colouring challenge.  I made it in to a card not long after and then it has sat in my drawer ever since!

The image is called Emily and is a digi stamp from Wee stamps.
I coloured her in pinks and peaches and used matching papers from my stash to make a multi layered card.

Hope you like it.

Critters at the dog park

Good morning all, I hope you are having a good week. Today's card is one I made a few weeks ago, for my Nephew's birthday.

I can't share the ones I have been making this weekend, as they haven't gone to their recipients, yet!. So they will have to wait a couple of weeks. But never mind I have quite a few cards already made and sent that I haven't shared yet.

Anyway, for this I used the Lawn Fawn, Critters at the Dog Park, stamp and die set, and coloured the images with Copic markers.

I used an MFT Stitched Circle and inked it with Distress Inks in Crushed Olive and Tumbled Glass. Then I arranged the images on it and raised the dog on foam pads.

I used a couple of shapes from an MFT Blueprints set for the large banner and sentiment base, and a Clearly Besotted stamp and die set for the Birthday sentiment, which I stamped with Teal Zeal Memento Ink.

Then I had fun making a stamped background, using some of the stamps from the set with London Fog Memento Ink, and then a few of the tennis balls in the Teal Zeal.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Floral note

Good morning all. Hope you had a pleasant weekend.

I’m back with a simple floral card for today. This uses the hydrangea stamp from Stampendous.

I stamped on kraft card and white embossed before colouring with Distress Inks in spun sugar and picked raspberry.
I cut out the image and attached it to a small pink card.

The sentiment is from Lawn Fawns scripty sayings.

I hope you like it. TTFN Jude xx

Happy happy birthday

Good morning all, happy Friday, are you ready for the weekend? I know we are lol. I am really hoping that we can get cracking in the garden and try and make it look a bit more respectable for the summer months. That is if the great British weather decides to cooperate lol.

Anyway, today's card was made using one of our Hero Arts background stamps called Triangles, and the Avery Elle, Ellie stamp and die set.

I stamped the background die twice on to plain white card, using my MISTI stamp positioner tool and London Fog Memento Ink.

Then I coloured some of the shapes with Copic markers in a random pattern. I used a simple colour palette as I wanted it to be a definite male card. Then I stamped and coloured Ellie with Copics and cut her out with the matching die.

I used a Clearly Besotted stamp and die set for the sentiment and stamped the Birthday with Paris Dusk Memento Ink. Then I matted and layered the front with grey shimmer card and popped it all on to a 7 x 5 card blank.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you next week.
