Party Pandas

Good morning all, I hope you are having a good week and had a nice bank holiday weekend. We had a birthday party for my youngest granddaughter's 4th birthday on Saturday which was lovely.

Anyway. today's card was all about the inks. We picked up some new Memento colours while we were at a papercraft show a couple of weeks ago, so this was a good excuse to try some of them out.

I used a character from the Pandamonium set by Mama Elephant for the main image, as these images use the inks well.

I stamped the image repeatedly on a piece of plain white card using, Bamboo Leaves, Rhubarb Stalk, Grape Jelly, Tangelo, Bahama Blue, Grey Flannel, and London Fog inks.

Then I used a sentiment from a Hero Arts Set called Animal Messages. I stamped it with a black pigment ink and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.

I put the card together using a black card base and then added a liner and a sentiment from a WPlus9 set to the inside.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Balloon Ellie

Monday again and another Bank Holiday here in the UK.  It is also the start of a week's leave for me - hurrah!!
The weekend has been quite busy as we have been finishing the work on the garden, but we took some time off on Saturday for Isabelle's 4th birthday celebrations.

The card I sent her was made using the Avery Elle set called Ellie.  I love this sweet little elephant and her bunny friend.

I stamped and coloured the images with copic markers and cut them with the corresponding dies.  The balloon hada 4 added and was finished with glossy accents.

The background was made using a cloud die and sky blue memento ink.  I used the die cut as a guide and inked over the edge for the cloudy sky effect.

The hillside was a spare piece from another card which fit nicely on the A2 card blank  The sentiment is from Party Animal by Lawn Fawn.

Hope you like it.  TTFN Jude xx

Happy birthday owl and bird

Good morning all I hope you have had a good week.

Today's card is a simple male card made from a few different stamp and die sets.

The bird and owl are from an MFT Stamp set called Things with Wings.

The happy and birthday sentiments are from a Clearly Besotted set and are stamped with Paris Dusk and Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

The balloons are from a Wplus9 and a Lawn Fawn set and everything is coloured with Copic markers. Then I added lots of Wink of Stella to the balloons to make them shimmer.

Finally the backgrounds are cut with the Avery Elle Wonky Stitched frames from coordinating card and then I added it all to a yellow A2 card blank.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Masked message

Morning all

As you know I've been playing with watercolours lately.  Well  I decided to try an idea I've seen around a while - painting over masking fluid.

I used a water brush and filled it with masking fluid then tried to write  a message.  I love the look of brush lettering but I'm not very good at it.  Still this looked ok!

Once the fluid was dry I added an ombre effect with red orange and yellow paints from my Gansai Tambi set.  It took days for it to dry enough that I felt confident to remove the masking fluid and add a stamped sentiment.

I don't think it turned out too badly, do you?

Altenew Layered Roses

Good morning all, are you having a good week? I hope so, and I hope you are getting some good weather wherever you are.

Today's card is made using those beautiful Layered Rose stamps and dies from Altenew. I still can't believe that these were free on the Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine.

We have been wanting to try some Altenew stamps for a while now, but every time we see some they are out of stock!!! But these ones are lovely. I had a little play with different inks and different colours, but really loved the blues.

I used an A2 card blank and then layered white card on the front. Then I used some blue flowered washi tape along the top.

I grouped the roses together and then stamped the leaves and cut them out. Then I arranged them around the flowers.

I used one of the greetings that came with the set and cut it out with an MFT banner die from a blueprints set, and then finished the card with a few sequins from Lucy's Cards, this mix is called Robin's Egg.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Anniversary amigos

Morning all :)

Last week was Jen and Alan's 15th wedding anniversary and I made them a few cards from the family.  This was mine.

I used a couple of layers of card and paper from the stash for the base and added a central panel.  I stole the idea of the three amigos but used animals from a Lawn Fawn set called Party Animal.

I did use two of the mini sentiments from Three Amigos as I love the cute little sayings.
The heart background was stamped in Love Letter Memento ink and the sentiment came from scripty sayings.

Hope you like it.

Watercolour background Hero Arts flowers

Good morning all, I hope you have had a good weekend and managed to squeeze some craft time in.

Today's card is made using that lovely set from the March My Monthly Hero kit from Hero Arts. I really, really love this set and wish I could get more of them. But unfortunately the UK customs charges just make it too expensive.

Anyway, I used watercolour paper for the background and did a wash and splatter effect with Jude's Gansai Tambi Watercolours.

I stamped, cut and coloured all of the flowers using Copics and some metallic watercolour and arranged them in a group on top of the watercolour background.

Then I used some leaf stamps from the kit and stamped them under and around the flowers and coloured them with watercolours. I also added a few little bees too.

The birdhouse die cut is from an MFT set called Things with Wings and I just happened to have one laying around on my desk leftover from a different card.

So I added that and a simple sentiment to the front and then added another to the inside to finish it off.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Balloons

Friday at last. Hope you've got some crafty time planned for the weekend!

I was inspired by a few cards using very similar layouts to this, that I've seen on several blogs and Pinterest. This is basic stamping and so quick and easy to do.

I used a balloon stamp from one of the Simon Says Stamp sets and stamped in lots of colours to create a background. I then stamped on the sentiment.
Once this was on it didn't stand out enough for me so I re-stamped and embossed in black.

I chose one of the ink colours for the matt, added a gold chevron and my card was complete.
Hope you like it. TTFN Jude xx

15th Wedding Anniversary

Good morning all, I hope you are having a good week. Yesterday was mine and Alan's 15th wedding anniversary, and this is the card I made for him.

I didn't want anything too fussy, so went for something simple but with a nice sentiment.

The stars are cut with an MFT die called Star/Sky vertical. I cut it out of a piece of black card and then added a piece of silver card behind it.

I cut the piece down to fit an A2 card blank and then cut and coloured these cute sheep from Clearly Besotted.

I love this set, called Feeling Sheepish. As there are a few different sheep and extras in the set, they are so easy to colour and they stamp and cut beautifully.

The sentiment is from a Mama Elephant set called Shooting Star, and I cut it out with a Marianne Designs Postage Stamp die.

Then I just added a couple of little punched hearts to finish it off.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Simon strikes again

Morning all. Hope you've had a good week and managed to fit in some craft time.

My card today is another inspired by Vicky P's 10 cards from the Simon Says Stamp monthly card kit for April.

I used one of the lovely papers backed with red polka dots and mounted on a black card blank.
The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted stamped and embossed in white.

I love how it looks and hope you do too  TTFN Jude xx
