Frosty friends

Morning all. Hope you're keeping well.
I've yet another Christmas card to share with you today.
This image was printed from one of our Christmas CDs last year. Unfortunately it's so long ago I can't remember which one lol.  Then again I have difficulty remembering what I had for breakfast some days ;)
The photo paper used to print the topper gives it a nice finish.
I matted this with blue card and layered them over a bright Christmas paper.
All that was needed was a snowflake brad, a blue ribbon bow and a sentiment to finish off my card.
Hope you like it.

Seasons greetings from Barkley

Good morning all, hope you are well. Today's card is one I have made using our new Christmas with Barkley CD Rom. We bought this and the everyday set in the recent Crafters Companion sale, and they have some gorgeous images on them. :o))

This card is made using one of the topper sheets that holds 15 little circle toppers. These just happen to cut out quite nicely with a 2inch round punch.

The card is really simple, 2 toppers placed on to 2inch scalloped rounds and then matted on to white hammered card and paper from the stash.

I finished with a little glitter snowflake, a ready made sentiment and some blingy string at the top.

Hope you like it.

See you soon.

Hi there Gorjuss

Happy Tuesday folks.  Hope our UK friends aren't too windswept after the stormy weather the last couple of days.  We were quite lucky in our part of Yorkshire and missed most of the bad stuff.  It did rain and it was blowy but not nearly as bad as down on the South coast.  My London colleagues were nearly all having to work from home today due to a lack of trains!
Anyway today I'm using another of the images I coloured on holiday in Scotland.  This is another Gorjuss image, which I think is called The Fox, but I don't have the packaging so not sure.
I cut the image out with a deckled edge spellbinder and lightly inked the edges with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink.  I then layered two contrasting designs onto a purple card and mounted them on to a 6x6 card blank.  All the edges were distressed with the same Aged Mahogany.
The flowers are more of the large papers blossoms we bought in The Range - one is a creamy white and the other is dusky pink.
The sentiment was created on a Dymo hand held printer, using a white paper cartridge.  I just wanted something very simple and I thought this was just enough.
Hope you like my card.  I'd love you to leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Faithful friends

Good morning crafty friends, and welcome to a new week. Hope things are well wherever you are in the world.

Today's card is one I made for a change for a little boy. I don't do many male cards, and never do any for little boys until I need one so I thought this would make a change.

I started with the image from Crafters Companion and matted this on to some blue textured card stock.

I used a paper from the same CC booklet and matted this with the blue card stock too. A small piece of cream Centura Pearl finished off the layering.

I then used a couple of buttons from the stash and added these to a punched circle. Then I added the sentiment which was printed on to Safmat in brown ink and stuck straight to the patterned paper.

I finished the card with some twine wrapped around the side and tied in a bow.

Hope you like this one too.

Thanks for stopping by, take care.

Boot-alicious

Happy Sunday folks!
I decided to have a break from Christmas cards today and share this multi-occasion card.
The boots are a stamp that came with the last issue of Get Stamping magazine. They are part of a Christmas set but I thought they looked good in shades of brown.
I stamped the image twice, coloured both in and carefully cut one out.  I layered the cut out on top of the second boot using foam pads.  The edges of the topper were distressed using Scattered Straw distress ink on a piece of cut and dry foam.
I didn't have a sentiment that fit so I printed this one on to some textured card and inked it with the scattered straw.
I added them both to a piece of tan cardstock and then to a 5x7 card blank.  This one is smooth cream at the bottom but the top is ridged and white.  A ribbon, bow and a few pearls completed the layout.

Happy Birthday

Good morning blog friends, hope you are all well today and looking forward to a nice crafty weekend.

I thought I would share this card with you today as it was made for my son's girlfriend to give to her little sister who's birthday it is today. So happy birthday Kathryn, hope you have a lovely day.

The image is Crafters Companion and the papers are from the stash, all matted on to a deep red Coredinations card stock.

I cut the picket fence with a Diesire die and the butterfly is a Tonic punch.

I added a deep pink ribbon and bow and then finished the card with a simple ready made sentiment.

I think this one is really pretty, what do you think?

Hope you like it, take care friends. See you soon.

Christmas decoupage

Jude here again.  Hope you are all having a good crafty week.
Last week I put together some decoupage we received as another magazine freebie.
The pad came with two different layouts, ready cut so all I had to do was make them up.
I prefer to use silicone for decoupage which has fiddly elements like this one.  Having let it dry thoroughly I used two co-ordinating papers from the pack and made these cards.
I know it's still 8 weeks until Christmas but the sweet little owls in a tree was just too cute to pass up.  I love that these are in yellows and greens and not 'traditional' Christmas colours.
Santa in his armchair is in the usual red and green, but I like him to look more traditional.  It wouldn't seem right if he was in other colours.  What do you think?

Snowflakes are Angel Kisses

Good morning all, hope all is well with you this week. I seem to be the only one around here that isn't coughing and spluttering at the moment. Both Jude and Alan have got bugs, and poor Alan has a chest infection, but that's about as much sympathy as he gets around here lol.

Anyway today's card is one that I have made on the digital Craft Artist Software.

I chose a background and then added elements and a sentiment to it and then sized it for an 8x8 card blank.

I printed it on to good quality card and then mounted it to an 8x8 Kraft card.

I finished it off with a generous helping of clear crystal stickles glue on the snowman and snowflakes and the star on top of the tree.

What do you think? Hope you like it too.

Take care

Happy Birthday from hAnglar

Morning all.  Hope you are a bit drier than we are.  It hasn't stopped raining all week!

My niece has asked Jen and I to make a couple of birthday cards for her to send.  Jen has a gorgeous creation to share with you later in the week, but I thought I'd show you the one I have made.
This is another hÄnglar image which I thought was perfect for a young woman.  It has the right amount of playfulness without being too childish.  I coloured the image with Promarkers, cut her out with a spellbinders die and inked through this with Tattered rose distress ink.
I then layered the image on to some pink coredinations card over two papers from my stash.  I chose a sentiment from the Vintage Notes collection, and added a simple knotted piece of ribbon.
I also added a few pearls to accent the corners of the papers.
What do you think?

Just for you

Good morning blog friends. Hope you are well today and the weather is being kinder to you than here. We very nearly had a nasty accident yesterday with our dog Molly. The stream had overflowed and has very fast running water, Molly isn't too good in water and as she tried to cross the bridge, the water was very deep and it almost took her in. The thought of it fills me with dread. Luckily she was with my brother and he got her home safe and sound.

Anyway that's enough waffling, onto today's card. I thought I would have a little break from the Christmas cards and make something different, so I went for a general 'Just for you' card. Which could be used as a get well card too.

I started with the image from Tatty Teddy and mounted it on to some pink dotty embossed card. I then cut this out with Spellbinders Labels 29.

I layered the image on to some co-ordinating papers from our stash and matted them with silver card.

I used an assortment of flowers for decorations and finished the card with the simple sentiment matted on to a piece of white open weave paper.

Hope you like it.

Thanks for stopping by again, see you soon.
