Puffy Heart Panda

Good morning all, I hope you have had a good week. We are soooo looking forward to a long weekend again, unfortunately they flash past so quickly. lol. But anyway, tomorrow is my niece's birthday and this is one of the cards I made for her.

Isn't that little panda just so cute? This whole card was made using an embossing folder, and stamps from a papercraft magazine. I really like this set and can see it getting lots of use.

I started by embossing a piece of white card with the heart embossing folder, before I stamped the Panda and a sentiment in the middle, with Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

I used a couple of Copic markers to add some colour to the balloon, bee and butterflies, and then used a white gel pen and a black fineliner to add a bit of detail.

I found a nice shade of yellow Coredinations card to sit behind the front panel and then made a square card blank from some black spotty card.

Then to finish it off I added a few dots of Glossy accents here and there to give it a bit of shine.

Hope you like it, and a very happy birthday to a very special niece for tomorrow.

Take care and I'll see you soon.

Beautiful Blooms

Hello.  Today's card is made using a stamp from a new set called Beautiful Blooms III by Uniko.

This is a three layer stamp for which I used Altenew inks in Frosty Pink, Coral Berry and Ruby Red.  The leaves are Frayed Leaf and Evergreen.

I had a strip cut from a card I made a couple of weeks ago which is gilding flakes on double sided adhesive.  It works really well as an accent to the flowers.

I adhered one cut flower and leaves to the card, added my silver strip then finished with two blooms raised with some foam squares.

You can see a little dimension in the next picture.

I love the delicate look of this card which was finished with a simple sentiment from the Avery Elle City Celebrations set.

Hope you like it.  TTFN Jude xx

Hip Hip Hooray - Happy Birthday

Good morning all, I hope you are having a good week. Today's card is very bright and cheerful and made using a combination of different products from different companies.

That chubby little Koala bear is from Simon Says Stamp, Cuddly Critters set. I stamped him with Versamark ink on to orange card, then heat embossed him with white embossing powder. The shading and highlights are added with white pencil, Versamark pen and Wink of Stella Clear Glitter pen.

I made the background panel using one of Uniko's, background builder stamp sets. I used a couple of the different circles and stamped them with Tim Holtz Distressed Oxide ink in Spiced Marmalade.

Then I added some Nuvo Pearl Drops in Ripened Pumpkin and Crystal Drops in Silver Moondust.

I cut a frame using an MFT Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle die, and put it in the middle of my background. Then I raised the outer edge on foam strips and added the Koala to the middle.

To finish it off I used a sentiment from the Avery Elle, City Celebrations set, heat embossed with clear embossing powder, over the Distressed Oxide ink.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Thanks

Spring Daisy

Today I have another card using an Altenew stamp set.  This one is Spring Daisy.

I started by stamping on white card with Versamark and heat embossing with white embossing powder.

I inked the stamped image with Distress Oxide inks in Fossilised Amber, Spiced Marmalade and Walnut Stain.  I then cut it out with the matching die.

I used one layer from the leaves to stamp on my card base using the same Walnut Stain ink then added another layer in Cracked Pistachio.  I then added the cut flower, gluing just in the centre so the outer petals have a little lift.

The sentiment is also from the set and was stamped in inky black pigment ink.

I don't make many simple cards like this but I really enjoyed putting this together.  Hope you like it too.

Pencil Coloured Dahlias

Good morning all, I hope you have had a good weekend. Did you get much time to be crafty? I managed to squeeze in a couple of cards this weekend, this is one of them.

I stamped the WPlus9 Beautiful Bouquets - Dahlias stamp on to black card using Versamark ink. Then heat embossed it with fine detail white embossing powder.

Then I used Spectrum Noir coloured pencils to colour it. I have wanted to try this technique for ages but never got around to it, and I am really happy with the results. The pencils give a lovely soft effect on the black card, but also really stand out.

I wanted to add a bit more interest to the background so added a few sprays of Frost Sheer Shimmer Spritz, by Imagine Crafts.

This gives a lovely fine spray, but I wanted something a little bit heavier. So I sprayed some on to my glass mat, then flicked it over the background using a water brush, to give me the heavier drops.

The sentiment is from the Mama Elephant - Organic Blooms set. I stamped it with Grape Jelly Memento ink, and then raised the strip on foam tape across the bottom of my card.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Flower buds

Happy Friday everyone.  Hope you have a lovely weekend planned.

I have to try and get ahead on the birthday's we have coming up.  I've made a start using one of my favourite stamp sets - Altenew's Peony Bouquet.

This is a stamp layering set and is quite forgiving if you aren't good at lining the layers up well - like me!

I stamped the layers using several colours of Altenew inks then added some drops of Liquid Pearls in buttercup, and Nuvo Drops in Wedgewood Blue.

The sentiment is from the Avery Elle City Celebrations sentiment stamp set.

To add some interest I cut two pieces of white card and bordered them with blue to accent the flower strip.

Hope you like it.  TTFN Jude xx

Birthday Balloons

Good morning all, how is your week going? are you like me and already can't wait for the weekend? lol.

Today's card is super simple and was inspired by a post I saw on Pinterest. I used the WPlus9 Whole Lotta Happy balloon die set to cut lots of different balloons from white card stock.

Then I placed them randomly over another piece of white card and cut it down to fit a 6 x 4 card base.

The Happy Birthday die is from Clearly Besotted, I cut it out and then coloured the letters with different pink, lilac and purple Copic markers.

Then I laid this across the panel with my balloons, found a piece of card to co-ordinate and layered it behind, before adding it to a white card base.

Then to finish it off I went to town with pink and purple sequins. As I didn't have any sequins in the right shade of pink, I used clear ones and coloured them with a matching Copic marker. They turned out great!!!

Thanks for stopping by, hope you like today's card. Take care and I'll see you soon.

Wild Thing

Hello and welcome.

Today I have a card using the April Simon Says Stamp card kit to share with you.

This set has some fun bright colours in the inks and papers and a cute set of wild animals.

For this card I used the elephant coloured with Copic markers and a little glossy accents on his eyes.

The background is stamped using a Hero Arts triangle background stamp in a deep red ink.  I then blended shades of Distress Oxide inks over the top to soften it out.

Once it was dry I stamped my sentiment over the top with Versamark ink and embossed in white.  The happy birthday is from another set and was embossed on to red card.

The balloons were die cut from matching papers then covered with Spectrum Noir sparkle pen and glossy accents.  I hand drew the strings for the balloons before placing them on with foam pads.

I added my panel to a deep red 5.5 x 4.25 note card.

Hope you like it.  TTFN Jude xx

Cool Chick

Good morning all, I hope you are having a good start to the week. Did you have a nice long weekend over Easter? We had a lovely weekend, including a delicious Easter Sunday lunch at mums 😋.

Anyway, I don't really do Easter cards, but I loved the March Simon Says Stamp kit, so used some of the elements to make this little card.

I used the stencil that came with the kit and stamped through it with Versamark ink. Then I lightly brushed Cosmic Shimmer Iridescent Mica Powder over the top. This one is the Blue Pearl. It gives a really lovely soft and shimmery effect.

Then I used a scalloped oval die on some blue textured card, and cut a window out so I could place the egg shaped pattern behind it.

I stamped the little chick from the set and coloured it with Copic markers, then cut it out by hand.

I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and then heat embossed it with white fine detail embossing powder.

Then I put it all on a deeper blue card base and added a few pale blue pearls to finish it off.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.
