As I said earlier in the week, making cards for another crafter can be quite challenging. Throw in a lack of mojo and half a dozen cards to be made, and you soon realise you need help! The solution was to use sketches or magazines to try and come up with something respectable. When the card you make is for an adult child to give a parent, then you have to put a little more effort in. This card is what I came up with for Jen's son Daniel, and his girlfriend Staci, to give her.
I based the 8 x 8 card on a layout in issue 121 of Quick Cards Made Easy.
The ready made topper came with matching background paper which I have used on the layers with purple cardstock mats. The floral set is from Hunkydory again.
I made a bunch of flowers from different paper ones in our stash which pick out some of the pinker tones.
A purple organza ribbon and bow were topped with a matching button.
