Welcome bloggers to another lovely Sunday. Yesterday we held a bbq at my nephew's house and had a really pleasant evening eating, drinking and socialising with the family. The rain even held off until we were just about finished lol. We went inside for a little while but it certainly didn't spoil our time together.
When I got home I put together this card with an image I had coloured on Friday following my trip to London. The image is a Saturated Canary one called Rose Red, but I wanted to do something different with her, hence Golden Rose. I coloured her with peach and apricot shades while the bodice of her gown is a soft gold.
I've never been very good at black hair so I tried a slightly different take on it this time. This effect is made with 4 shades of grey promarkers. I was going to add some black highlights but I like how she looks so left it alone. What do you think?
The background is a piece of Hunkydory cardstock layered with some Tim Holtz Kraft-Core from the nostalgic collection. I cut a couple of flowers from the waste, layered these with some orange and yellow ready made flowers and a leaf swirl from the stash. I then added dark bronze and olympic gold cosmic shimmer to the centres.
Three pearls made with the olympic gold finished the card.
Thanks for joining us today. Although we have quite a few return viewers, we don't get many comments. It would be interesting to know a little about who reads our ramblings, so could I ask that you leave us a short message please today? We would like to get to know where you are joining us from, and perhaps a little about you? We would really appreciate it :)
