Birthday boy

Morning and happy Saturday.  It's about time the weekend showed up.  There is definitely too much week!
My card today is one I made for Jen's youngest grandchild Bailey.  He is 5 tomorrow but he had his birthday party yesterday.  My daughter Catherine went down to Runcorn for the party with her daughter and niece.  They had a fabulous time.  We are having his family birthday party next weekend just ahead of Jen's birthday.
The image is Best Buds which I think I used on one of his cards last year! Oh well I'm sure he won't mind;)  The image was coloured with Promarkers then layered on red card from our stash and papers from the Docrafts 'Ahoy There' paper pack.
I added a Tonic star punch border to the right hand edge.
A number 5 and a sentiment complete this effective but relatively simple design.
Hope you like it.  TTFN Jude xx

Wellington with rugby ball

Good morning all, hope you are all well today. I'm feeling a bit better now and can finally get back to some crafting. Horrible winter bugs are going around at the minute and I seem to be getting them all lol.

Today's card is another Wellington one using a ready made topper.

I do love this range it is very cute and perfect for male cards too.

I teamed the topper with some matching Wellington papers and some blue cardstock.

Then finished the card with a ready made sentiment.

Hope you like it.

Thanks for stopping by again.

See you soon.

Pretty birdie

Morning folks, Jude back again.  Jen isn't well but is doing her best to keep going.  I reckon she should stay in bed all week, but she won't do that!  Send her get well vibes please.

Today's cards are made from another Hunkydory set called Birds of Paradise.  They were so quick and easy to do that I have two to share with you :)
The first is a 5 x 7 card turned landscape and covered with the co-ordinating card stock for this set.
The circular image is made up of two layers so the outer is stuck flat and the inner raised on foam pads.  A sentiment in the top corner finishes it off.
The second card is also a 5 x 7 but this time portrait.  I again used the matching cardstock to cover the blank but this time separated the circular image.
The outer layer was placed over the bird image on the card.  I then added the inner section separately slightly above this.
There were two sentiments in the set which fit nicely into the gaps to complete the card.  Told you they were quick ;)
You've got to love these pre-printed topper sheets when you're in need of a speedy make.
Hope you like them.  TTFN Jude xx

For someone so special

Good morning and happy Wednesday. Today's card is one for a boy for a change.

The decoupage topper is a Crafts u Print sheet which I have printed on to photo paper and then cut out and made up with sticky foam pads.

The papers are from the Docrafts Ahoy There range. I just thought the colours went with the topper. They are all matted on to a dark red Coredinations card.

I finished the card with a little stamped sentiment.

Hope you like today's card.

See you soon.

Boofle and Donkey

Well only 29 days until Christmas and I finally made a start on the presents :)  I've contributed to a few which were purchased a while ago but this weekend saw my first proper shopping trip.  I've not got much to get this year and it doesn't feel right.  My son usually needs to buy for school, after school club, his respite centre and his carers.  This year he has left all that behind so I only need to buy for the staff at his house!  I'm sure I'll end up buying more than I need lol.
For my card today I have returned to the stash left over from last year.  In among that was the Boofle decoupage (the proper stuff you have to cut out with scissors and everything) lmao.  This is what I made.
I made up the donkey decoupage and layered it with some paper from the Boofle pack.
I don't use peel offs very often and we have loads left over from different goody bags we've acquired, so I thought I'd try them here.  Surprisingly they worked quite well.
There were also some Boofle stickers in the Christmas stash so I used some of these to complete my card.
Hope you like it.  TTFN Jude xx

Merry Christmas

Good morning blog friends, hope you have all had a good weekend. Did you manage to get in any craft time, or has it all been taken up with Christmas shopping??? I have managed to do a bit of both, but not much of either to be honest. Oh well there's still another few weekends yet! lol.

This is a card I managed to make yesterday though. Very simple in black and white.

I tried to make use of punches for this one. So the corners are rounded using a corner rounding punch and the squares are another punch.

The scalloped circle is yet another and the final punch was used on two corners of the white background to give a bit of detail.

The reindeer was cut using my silhouette last year but I never used it so I used up some of the bits on this card.

Like this little Christmas tree charm,

and the shooting star. Like I said very simple but very effective IRL.

Hope you like it.

Thanks for stopping by again. See you soon. Take care.

When the red red robin....

"....comes bob bob bobbin' along!"  Admit it - you sang along lol.

Happy Sunday peeps.  Hope it's a good day for you.  I've returned to the Christmas cards again, although I've used the same layout I used for one of my Furry-Tails cards earlier this week.
I took a DL blank and covered it with gold mirror card and polka dot paper.  I then chose three toppers from a Crafters Companion Christmas set.
These were raised with sticky pads before I added a co-ordinating border and sentiment.
Another quick card.  TTFN Jude xx

Happy Birthday

Good morning crafty friends, hope you are well today and looking forward to a crafty kind of weekend. I must admit I am really struggling at the minute for enthusiasm for card making, so today I'm going to get in the craft room and do some sorting out and see if that gets the old mojo working again.

Today's card is one I made a while ago but never got around to blogging.

It's a very simple Wellington topper framed with a spellbinders Opulent ovals frame.

Then matted and layered with some co-ordinating papers.

and finished off with a simple sentiment.

Hope you like it. Enjoy your weekend.

See you soon.

Cuddle

Morning all.  Thankfully it is Friday and after work I can put my feet up for a while.  I hope ;)  Although as it is less that 5 weeks to Christmas I may have to do some shopping instead!

Todays card is inspired by one of the ideas in Get Stamping issue 05.  The free stamps which come with the magazine have been used for quite a few cards lately, in particular Jen's chalet card.

This one uses the words stamp as the centre piece.  The words were stamped in Aged Mahogany distress ink onto a small piece of white stamping card and the edges inked with the same colour.
The words were then layered on to a piece of pre-embossed card which I sanded to reveal a little of the core.
Once these were added to the 9 x 10.5cm the whole thing was wrapped with a deep red twine.  I then used a red/brown cabochon that Jen had made in the melt pot to finish it off.
This is a card that could be reproduced in bulk quite quickly.  We are debating taking a stall at the local village Christmas Fete, so cards like this would be easy to make en masse.
Enjoy your weekend.  TTFN Jude xx

For you

Good morning all, hope you are well today. Today's card is another card made with an image from Crafters Companion.

I think the image is so cute. I mounted her on to some pale pink Coredinations card and then used matching papers for the background.

As I was using a striped paper I thought I would make it a bit different by running a piece the opposite way. It stands out a bit as it is all matted with the same pink card.

The butterfly is a Tonic Studios punch.

The pale pink silky ribbon and simple sentiment finish the card. Nothing too fancy but really cute. Hope you like it too.

Thanks for stopping by. Take care.
