Love Birds

Today I have a card made using a new-to-us set from Clearly Besotted.  This is called Red Robin.

It is actually a Christmas set but I coloured the birds grey, like little doves instead.
I stamped them on white card and added a ground with Copic markers.

I cut this with a scalloped edge die and added it to a piece of matt silver card.
I also added a few hearts from my stash.

The background is Simon Says Stamps rose background stamp which I heat embossed with white on dove grey card.  I really like how this looks.

I added a simple sentiment in the balloon  to finish off.

Hope you like it.  TTFN Jude xx

Christmas robin

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you have had a good weekend. I have eventually got a bit of mojo back, and so have spent some time in the craftroom this weekend making a few Christmas cards.

I love this little robin die from Cut and Make. I cut him from white card and then coloured him with Copic markers.

I used a scalloped stitched square die with Neenah Desert Storm card and drew a snowy curve across the bottom with Cosmic Shimmer glue. Then I used Tim Holtz Distress Glitter in Rock Candy all over it. Once it was dry it gives a lovely glittery finish.

I used a white gel pen for the snowflakes behind him and then added a piece of red card to a 6 x 4 cream window card, before popping the scalloped panel on top.

Then it just needed a simple greeting to finish it off.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

More birdie Christmas cards

Hello crafty friends.  Jude here again and I'm back with a couple more bird cards.  I love how simple these images are.

For the second card I decided to get a little more creative and make a stepper card.

I used the same image but cut the card using a new die Jen bought last week at the Dabble Day.  What do you think?

I think if I do it again I will pick something nicer for the side decoration.

Well that's it for today.  TTFN Jude xx

Robin Red Breast

Tuesday again.  The weeks are fairly flying by.  Christmas will be here in no time.
Good job I'm on a roll with my cards then.

Today I have a sweet little robin from Digi Stamp Boutique (again!).  He was very quick to colour and I will probably use him a few more times yet.

The sentiment is from a Docrafts set I bought last Christmas, which I think was called Noel.

The background is another piece of Hunkydory cardstock.  We have loads from different sets and I intend to use as much of it as possible.

It's a bit fussy for my liking but Mum will probably like it for one of her friends.

Catch you soon.  TTFN Jude.

Christmas Robin

Good morning friends, hope you are well today and having better weather than we are at the moment, I don't think it's stopped raining for days lol.

Anyway today's card is made using a cute little robin from Digistamp Boutique. I printed him onto Dessert Storm card and then coloured him with Copics.

I cut him out with a circle die and then used a slightly larger one to make a mat behind him.

Once I had him coloured in I used a Versamark pen to go over the furry bits on his hat and then heat embossed them with Seafoam White embossing powder.

I kept the card very simple as I want this one for a boy, so I just added a simple sentiment and a couple of snowflakes.

The paper is from a set Jude had the year before last, so it needs using up lol.

Hope you have a good day, take care and I'll see you soon.

Christmas Tweetings

Happy Friday.  Are you looking forward to the weekend as much as I am?

The card I'm sharing today is another one for Christmas, this time featuring a set of sweet little robins from Digi Stamp Boutique.

I bought a few different Christmas images a few days ago, and have had fun colouring them up.  Look out for more to come next week.

I only used one piece of Christmas paper as I wanted the focal point to be the robins.

The sentiment was part of the download and I just added a couple of snowflakes as embellishments.

Hope you like it.  TTFN Jude xx

Boofle and Donkey

Well only 29 days until Christmas and I finally made a start on the presents :)  I've contributed to a few which were purchased a while ago but this weekend saw my first proper shopping trip.  I've not got much to get this year and it doesn't feel right.  My son usually needs to buy for school, after school club, his respite centre and his carers.  This year he has left all that behind so I only need to buy for the staff at his house!  I'm sure I'll end up buying more than I need lol.
For my card today I have returned to the stash left over from last year.  In among that was the Boofle decoupage (the proper stuff you have to cut out with scissors and everything) lmao.  This is what I made.
I made up the donkey decoupage and layered it with some paper from the Boofle pack.
I don't use peel offs very often and we have loads left over from different goody bags we've acquired, so I thought I'd try them here.  Surprisingly they worked quite well.
There were also some Boofle stickers in the Christmas stash so I used some of these to complete my card.
Hope you like it.  TTFN Jude xx

When the red red robin....

"....comes bob bob bobbin' along!"  Admit it - you sang along lol.

Happy Sunday peeps.  Hope it's a good day for you.  I've returned to the Christmas cards again, although I've used the same layout I used for one of my Furry-Tails cards earlier this week.
I took a DL blank and covered it with gold mirror card and polka dot paper.  I then chose three toppers from a Crafters Companion Christmas set.
These were raised with sticky pads before I added a co-ordinating border and sentiment.
Another quick card.  TTFN Jude xx
