A smoke free zone

Happy Monday!  The start of another busy week but also the start of another year for Jen as a non-smoker.  Yyyeeeeeaaaaahhhhh!!!

One year ago today Jen decided to quit smoking and in spite of it being a tough time, especially as her health hasn't been brilliant, she has stuck too it.

I wanted to make her a card just to say congratulations and tell her how very proud I am of her for her success.  I know how hard it is and she has done exceptionally well.

The bunting across the top of the card is made using our one of our recent purchases from La La Land and the letters are from a Tim Holtz alphabet die called Carnival.

I thought these paper colours were quite autumnal and the blustery image is in keeping with the weather here at present.

The image is one I've had printed for a while but coloured with Promarkers when we were in Scotland two weeks ago.

The flower is a rose quilling die.  I cut it twice and layered the two colours to make this flower.  I need more practice but it didn't turn out too badly.

Circus wishes

Morning everyone.  For today I needed a quick simple card as I'm currently in London for work and don't have time for any proper crafting.

This is a card made using another Hunkydory set which came free with issue 13 of their magazine.  The set is called Little Treasures.

 

 

 I took a piece of pre-printed card and added it to a 5x7 card blank.

I cut 1" circles from a co-ordinating card and added letters from the set.  I wanted to put birthday underneath but didn't have enough letters!  I think it works ok though.

A sweet and easy card.

Bunting

The many blogs I read or websites I follow, are to do with crafts, home décor or organisation.

A while ago I spotted a post for letter downloads on the Shanty 2 Chic website which were used to create a banner. Check out the post here.

I love the simple design and decided to make the same banner for my bedroom.  First step was to print the required letters on to white paper and cut them out.

I took papers from the Amy Tangerine 12x12 pad I got for my birthday, and layered the letters to create a larger sized pennant.

A ribbon from East of India was added top the top to hang the bunting.  What do you think?  Just need to hang it on my wall.
