Hanging around

Hello friends.  I've tried something different with my card today.

This is a Digi stamp boutique image featuring Murphy the dog.  He's a sweet little character and I wanted to try doing a proper background for him.

So using stamps, inks and copics I created this.  Isn't he a sweetie?

The flowers are a Clarity stamp I've had for ages and rarely use.  It came in very useful here.

I coloured the background using 3 shades of blue distress ink to create the cloud effect.

Hope you like it.  TTFN Jude xx

A peek in the craftroom...

Good morning crafty friends. Today I thought I would give you a peak into our craft room. We have spent hours sorting it out and trying to make better use of the storage. Now that we have the large Ikea Expedit unit, it is a little better, but there is still a long way to go lol.

I have got rid of my large corner desk and swapped to a smaller table. I have now got to clear the rubbish from my desk to give me somewhere to work!

We have managed to get all of our card blanks; card and large papers out on to an accessible shelf and put some of the things that we don’t use very often away in the harder to get to areas.

I finally have somewhere to store my jewellery bits and pieces and they no longer have to live on the floor under my desk. But they are still handy for me to get to easily, without having to lift them too far.

We have managed to get the printer situated between Jude and me, so that we can both connect to it rather than just me. It is wireless but for some reason it just doesn't work to our PCs. It’s also much easier to get to, to change the paper/card etc.

Unfortunately we still have to share the space with nosy cats though lol. Only kidding, we just love it when they sit on the keyboard or walk paw prints over our work lol ;o))

Anyway hope you have enjoyed that little tour around our craft and cat room.

Take care and I’ll see you soon.

Tilly Christmas

Hello again.

I've got another Christmas card to share today.  This one uses the fabulous Tilly from Saturated Canary.

I coloured her with Copics then used Distress Inks to give her a background and markers for her aura.  What do you think?

I didn't originally set out to do a Christmas card, it just sort of developed.  That is why I've used non-traditional papers.

I think she turned out ok.

Highschool Girl

Good morning, hope you are all well. Today's card was made for a young lady who was 21 at the weekend.

I thought the Highschool Girl digi stamp from Saturated Canary would be perfect. If you would like to get her for yourself she is available here.

I coloured her with Copics and stuck to a mainly purple colour palette.

The papers are from the stash and I teamed them with lilac and deep purple card.

I cut the sentiment twice one from each colour card and then offset it to look like a shadow.

The flowers are made up from Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms and Marianne Rolled Roses. I went to town with the flowers and added leaves, ferns, pearls and even a fabric flower.

Then I added a couple of the Noor Design butterfly borders, and finished it off with the number 21.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Sailboat Luka

Morning everyone it's Monday again. Yesterday saw the end of BST, so the dark nights are really on us from now on.  Winter is on it's way, lol!!

Today's card is made using Luka with Sailboat from La La Land Crafts.  This is a fabulous rubber stamp Jen bought last weekend.

I coloured him with the recommended Copics (with a few substitutions) but it didn't turn out too badly.  I am especially happy with his hair and sweatshirt.

This die has been used a lot lately but it is just so good!  I added in a lamp post and ticket dies as extra embellishments and used 2 designer papers from Basic Grey.

Hope you like him.  TTFN Jude xx

Outlaw Luka

Good morning, hope you are all having a good weekend. Today's card is another one for a little boy.

The image is Outlaw Luka from La La Land Crafts. I coloured him with Copics and then cut him out with a Spellbinders Adorning Squares die.

The backing paper is from the latest Simon Says Stamp kit, and the green dotty and yellow card are from the scraps box.

I added a little brad to attach the sentiment with and then cut down the Marianne star die to just use a small piece of it.

I coloured it with a coordinating yellow Copic.

That's another one off the crafty list done, now if I could just find a few more hours in the week I'm sure I could get the rest done before Christmas lol.

Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekends. Take care and I'll see you soon.

A Spellbinder Christmas

Welcome to the weekend!

This card is made using the Timeless Rectangles set from Spellbinders.  As the dies are so pretty the card didn't need fussy papers and lots of adornment.  This is a mid-green core-dinations card with a silver speciality paper from K & Company.

I added some simple white trees and a banner but then felt something was missing.  In comes Jen to the rescue, suggesting small green pearls for the trees.  Hallelujah! It worked.  Don't they make a difference?

This card could be replicated en mass for Christmas, or any occasion dependent on the chosen sentiment and colours.

Hope you like it.  TTFN Jude xx

Let it snow

Good morning all and hello Friday, so glad to see you lol. Hope you all have plans for a crafty weekend. We will be doing some serious sorting out in our craft room this weekend, as we have some new storage coming, so we need to get rid of the old to make way for the new!

Anyway today's card is a pretty Christmas one.

I started with a piece of white card and cut two windows in it with a decagon shaped die. Then I ran the card through a snowflake embossing folder.

I found some little blue snowflake stickers to go inside the windows, and then used some clear gel circles over the top so they look a bit like glass.

I found some paper in the stash with pale blue snowflakes on too, so I used this to go behind the main panel.

Then I found some icy blue ribbon and tied a bow across the middle.

I added it all to a DL card blank and then stamped the sentiments and backed them with some blue card.

I think I will make some more similar ones in different colours with white as the main colour, as I do like a mainly white Christmas card.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Stamped Christmas cards

Hello crafty friends.

I've been playing around with ideas for Christmas again, this time using baubles and holly stamps.  What do you think?

This one is a DL blank.  I stamped one set of baubles and three of holly.

For the second card I used a multi coloured 6 x 6 and used the separation to add the holly bough to.  I stamped the holly four times in total, two of them on plain white card.

I then cut these out and decoupaged some of the leaves and berries.

I'm really happy with these and may use variations of these for work.

Hope you like them.  TTFN Jude xx

Winter wishes

Good morning all, hope you are having a good week.

Today's card is one I have put together using a couple of different stamp sets.

I have been sorting out the Christmas stash and putting all the stamps together etc. So I got some out and had a little play.

The deer is a Spellbinders stamp, coloured with Copics.

The holly leaves are from a Bo Bunny set and heat embossed with Verdigris embossing powder.

I added some shabby gold frantage to give a snowy effect, then a simple sentiment from the Spellbinders set, and it was all done.

Hope you like it, take care, see you soon.
