Relax it's your birthday

Good morning all, I hope you are having a good week. Today's card is one I made for a friend who needed a 60th birthday card for her dad.

I used a digital stamp for a change, this one is by Heather Ellis and is simply called Garden.

I sized and printed it to fit on to a 5 x 5 background, and then coloured the image with Copic Markers.

I used a mixture of  stamps and dies to make up the sentiment, the Happy Birthday is a Britannia die and the Dad is a Clearly Besotted stamp. Then I added little sparkly silver stickers for the 60 on his hat.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Happy Birthday Fishes

Good morning folks, I hope you are all having a good week.

I thought I would give you a little break from my Christmas cards and show you one of my recent birthday card makes.

A good friend of my son and daughter-in-law, asked for a couple of cards for her dad's 60th birthday and this is one of them.

I used a digi stamp that came with an old version of Complete Cardmaking, as I needed a fishing image and I only have one stamp. Unfortunately I had already used this for the same family earlier this year! lol.  Anyway I really like this little fella, so all is good. 😉

I coloured him with Copic markers and then cut him out with a stitched border frame. Then I added him to an olive green card blank and put some Glossy Accents on parts of his fishing rod and the fishes eye.

Then I made up the sentiment on the PC and printed it to match, then cut it out with an MFT Stitched Banner die. To finish it off I added 60 using green flocked thick numbers.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Friends are gifts

Hello all, apologies for the very late blog today, we are currently decorating and reorganising the house as well as doing the garden and working lol, so sometimes things are a bit late ;o))

Anyway, today's card is very simple. I took a digital image from an old Complete Cardmaking Kit from June 2013 and printed it to fit an 8 x 8 card.

I coloured the image with Copic markers, sticking to a quite neutral palette.

Then I backed it with some cream shiny card and added it to the card blank.

Simple! Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you tomorrow.
