Baby Boy Card

Good morning all, I hope you have had a good week and are looking forward to a nice crafty, relaxing weekend.

Today's card is one I made for a new baby boy. I didn't want to go with traditional blue, so I decided on grey and yellow for a change.

For the background I used the Concord & 9th Hugs and Kisses Turnabout stamp, and inks from the Altenew Pocketful of Sunshine and Rock Collection sets. Then I cut the panel out with an MFT Stitched Rectangle die.

I used Ella and Friends from Mama Elephant for the die-cut image and sentiment, cutting the image from a silver patterned card from Tonic.

The little balloon is cut with yellow card using a WPlus9 Whole Lotta Happy die, and I stamped on the balloon using grey ink and stamps from magazine sets. Then I tied the balloon to the elephant using silver twine, and added the whole thing to a pale grey note card.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Happy Birthday Chris

Good morning all and happy hump day, hope you are all having a good week. Today is our son Chris and my cousin Kirsty's birthdays, so happy birthday guys hope you both have lovely days.

This is the card that I made for Alan and I to give to Chris. I used our new Mama Elephant set called Up and Away.

I stamped and die cut the balloons and monkey on to plain white card and then coloured them with Copic markers.

Then I cut a piece of pale blue shimmer card to fit a 7 x 5 card base and then used one of the Stitched Trio Borders dies from Mama Elephant to cut the cloudy sky.

I stamped the balloons again on to the sky and then placed the die cuts on using foam pads.

Then I stamped a sentiment from another Mama Elephant set called Ella and Friends and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.

I cut the sentiment out using MFT Stamps Stitched Banner dies and then finished the card off with a few silver sequins.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Unforgettable - Just Like You

Good morning all, hope you are well and have recovered from the Christmas and New Years celebrations. We have had such a lovely Christmas and New Year that we really didn't want it to end. But oh well, we're all back to work now and on with a new year.

Today's card is one I made using the Mama Elephant Ella and Friends stamp and die sets.

I used a patterned paper for the background and then stamped the images using Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

I coloured them with Copic markers and then cut them out with the matching dies.

I used some balloon dies from Paper Smooches and held them to Ella with some blue twine.

I love her little friends at the bottom, you can easily change the scene depending on which friends and accessories you choose.

I finished the card off with one of the sentiment stamps that comes with the set and a die cut 7, for the birthday boy.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.
