Neigh, Oink, Moo....

Good morning all, I hope you have had a good weekend. We have had a quiet one for a change, so it's been nice to just chill out.

Today's card was one that I made for my Nephew for his birthday last month. I know he isn't a child anymore, but I just thought this new set from MFT Stamps (Party Animals), was so cute I couldn't resist, lol.

I stamped the images and coloured them with Copic markers, then cut them out by hand, as we don't have the matching dies (yet!!!).

For the background, I ink blended Distress Oxide inks on to plain card, and then added very subtle white clouds stencilled over the top, using Picket Fence distress ink and an MFT stencil. Then I added a few sprays and drops of Silver Glimmer Mist over the top.

I cut the MFT Sunburst Coverplate and inked a rainbow of colours over it, again with Distress Oxide inks, then I sealed it with Tim Holtz Distress Micro Glaze. I used the cut out pieces for another card that I will show you soon.

I added the backgrounds together onto a white note card and then arranged the animals on the front using foam tape. Then I added one of the sentiments from the Party Animals set to finish it off.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Silhouette Critters

Good morning all, sorry for the late post, I totally forgot about the blog this morning. I blame the post holiday blues lol. We got back on Wednesday and now that everything is unpacked and the washing is nearly all done, I just want to go away again ;o))

Anyway, today's card is one I made a couple of weeks ago, after seeing something similar on Pinterest.

I used the Lawn Fawn Critters at the Dog Park set and cut the dogs with dark grey card. Then I used the same grey card to make an A5 card base.

I used black and white card to make the layers and a large dot embossing folder for the white panel.

I cut the circles with 2 different sized punches. I used the 1 3/4 inch and 1 1/2 inch EK Success punches for this.

I layered everything together and then used a greeting from the Lawn Fawn Party Animals set and heat embossed it with Ranger Fine Detail Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder.

Then I just added a few tiny silver gems to finish it off.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Happy pandas

Good morning all, I hope you have had a good week. We have a busy birthday weekend to look forward to, with 2 birthdays over the next few days.

I have been busy making cards, but can't show them yet, so today's card is another that I made for my granddaughters birthday a couple of weeks ago.

I used the Pandamonium set from Mama Elephant and stamped the same image 5 times with different coloured inks. I used Memento Dew Drop inks in Bahama Blue, Tangelo, Grape Jelly, Bamboo Leaves and Rhubarb Stalk.

Then I gave them all balloons from a Lawn Fawn set and stamped letters on to them using another Lawn Fawn stamp set called Owen's ABC's.

I gave them all hats and a couple of them party blowers also from a Lawn Fawn set called Party Animals.

Then I used an over sized DL card for the base and covered it with spotty card and a thin strip of yellow washi tape.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Foxy Shaker Card

Good morning all, hope you are having a good week.

Today's card is the one I made to send to my great niece Keira Grace for her birthday on Wednesday.

I used the new Party Animals set from Lawn Fawn for the fox, birds and balloons, and coloured them all with Copic markers.

I added Glossy Accents to the balloons to give them a bit of shine.

The toadstool paper is from a Studio Calico Kit, and I thought it went nice with the animals.

I used the pocket shaker card technique again. This time cutting down a CD wallet to fit behind my arched aperture. I stuck the cut sides of the wallet together with my tape runner and filled it with sequins from a Studio Calico set.

I used plain white card for the front and then used an MFT Dienamics shape to cut out the arch.

The Happy Birthday is stamped with an old wooden stamp that is still one of my favourites and still gets used all of the time.

I put it all together on a 6 x 6 blank card base and then added the number 4 to finish it off.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.
