Reading Beauty

Good morning all, well it's the start of another week, are you all ready for it? I don't think I am, I'd much rather be getting set up in the craft room than going to work lol.

Anyway, today's card is a little bit different for me. I decided to colour an image using the one pencil technique that I learned at our last dabble day.

I used Reading Beauty from Saturated Canary, and I'm really pleased with how she came out.

I used an 8b graphite pencil and a paper stump to blend, and kept a new eraser handy to clean it up a bit as I do tend to get very messy hands lol.

I used paper from the Midnight Blush collection from Docrafts/Papermania, and used some black lace across the card. Then I added some tiny pearl beads.

The sentiment is cut using an Impression Obsession die and the flower is a gel sticker that I've had forever.

I finished her off by just adding a few tiny pearls to her headband.

Hope you like her too. See you soon, take care.

Reading Beauty

I was very busy yesterday as it was my grand daughter's birthday.  Consequently I didn't have time to make a card for today until after 9pm!!

This is what I came up with.

I completed the image several weeks ago when I had a colouring frenzy, lol.  This made it much easier to put together a quick card.

The papers are from the stash and I can't remember the brand - sorry.

The little metal tags we have had for ages and this is the first one out of the packet!  They are very heavy so I won't use them on cards that have to be posted lol.

I'll be back on Friday, hopefully with a card that isn't made at the last minute!

Reading Beauty

Hi folks.  Hope you're keeping well?

I recently shared several of my colouring practice pieces, one of which was Reading Beauty, below.

Well I've now turned her in to a simple little card, just using one piece of paper, one piece of card and a small sentiment.  I am trying to make really easy cards this week as I have so many birthday pieces to make for the weekend.  I obviously can't share those until the birthday girls have seen them, so we are doing double duty this week - one to save to blog later and one to blog now! Lol x

So here she is.  What do you think?
