Sketch for Christmas

I've been getting a bit stuck thinking of designs for my Christmas cards.  When this happens I usually dig out a sketch and work from that.  So last week I was looking through some old sketches and came across this one.

I can't remember where it came from but the shape made me think it could work with a bauble in the middle.

This is what I came up with.

What do you think?

I used Hunkydory card for the background and scraps from my stash then matted them all with textured gold card.

The stamp is from a Tim Holtz Christmas set for Stampers Anonymous, which we bought at the Ross Papercraft Show a few weeks ago.  I cut it out with Spellbinders 2011 Heirloom Ornaments and inked over it with Fired Brick Distress Ink.

Some silky crush ribbon and a few gems finished this card off nicely.

Hope you like it.

Christmas Eve eve

Happy Monday folks! Only 2 sleeps to go until Christmas.  Are you ready yet?
I hope you are more organised than us.  Jen and I are still making cards!!!!
I thought I'd share with you a some of the ones I've completed over the weekend.
Back in the Summer I made a start on some batch cards I was going to have as stand-bys.  You know when you suddenly realise there is an occasion and you haven't made something.  No? Only me then....
I never got around to doing anything with them so when I needed a few extra cards I decided to make use of these.

Using co-ordinating papers I cut several sizes of Spellbinders Ornaments and used foam pads to attach to the card bases.  I then used a Christmas stamp to add the sentiment.  As I had the hard work done these took minutes to put together but everyone was slightly different.
Hope you like them.  TTFN Jude xx

A couple of quick cards

Hello blog friends, hope you are all well.

Today's cards are a couple of really quick and simple designs.

For this first one I used a Snowflake embossing folder straight on to the shaped card front.

Then I used Spellbinders Heirloom Ornaments to cut a couple of baubles from patterned card.

I finished the card with a ready made sentiment and a couple of little bows.

This second one I used the same embossing folder but this time I used it on a piece of Centura Pearl white card. Which I then matted with some Christmas paper.

The ornament is a chipboard shape which I covered with the same paper.

I finished the card with another ready made sentiment and bow and some glitter glue around the edge of the ornament.

Hope you like them.

See you soon, take care.

Christmas Baubles

Good morning all, hope you are well today and looking forward to the weekend. Do you have any crafty plans? I am hoping to be able to do a little project on a wooden clock that I have in my head, but we'll have to see if luck and time are on my side this weekend. Lol.

Anyway today's card is actually two cards for the price of one, lol. I started by stamping the bauble stamps with Versamark ink and then heat embossing with gold embossing powder, and as usual I did a few to see which turned out the best.

Luckily this time they were all OK so I ended up being able to make two cards ;o))

I cut the baubles out with the corresponding dies and then added them to two fancy shaped card blanks.

I embossed the card blanks with two different patterns of Snowflake embossing folders, and then finished the cards with some little gold ribbon bows and a couple of ready made sentiments.

Nice and easy, hope you like them,

see you soon.
