Cool Penguins

Good morning crafty friends, and happy hump day. I hope you are having a good week so far.

Today's cards were a couple I made after seeing this fabulous card from Kristina Werner on Pinterest. Can you believe that she made this one back in 2014 ?.

I didn't have the exact same stamps etc. So I adapted the design to what I did have, and mine used the little penguin from Lawn Fawn's Snow Cool set, and the ice float from Avery Elle's Polar Pals set.

I stamped my little penguin first, and then masked him while I stamped the ice float. Then I masked them both to blend the background.

I used Distress Oxide inks in, Tumbled Glass, Broken China, and Blueprint Sketch, and I taped a strip of masking tape across the center to work from, to give me the line.

I coloured my images with Copic markers, and then used a Tim Holtz  Handwritten Holidays greeting, for my sentiment. I stamped one in Versamark and used white embossing powder, and the other with Red Versafine ink, and used clear embossing powder.

Then I added lots of snow dots with a white gel pen, and a few gems and snowflakes from Studio Katia to finish.

Hope you like them, take care and I'll see you soon.

White Heat Embossed Christmas

Good morning all, hope you are having a good week. I'm off work this week, how come it always seems much busier, and I'm more tired than if I was at work!!!

Anyway, today's card is a little bit different for me, no die cutting and no colouring, lol.

I wanted the sentiment to really stand out, so I decided to use a tan background and white embossing powder.

The sentiment is a Tim Holtz Handwritten Holiday sentiment, and the tree is from a magazine free gift set.

I stamped them both with Versamark ink and then heat embossed them with Cosmic Shimmer True White Fine Detail Embossing Powder.

Then I just added a few Matt gold and bronze sequins and a white card base to finish it off.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

We wish you a merry Christmas

Good morning, hope you are all well and looking forward to Christmas. Today's cards are another two I made using the same sentiment stamp.

The sentiment is from a Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous set called Handwritten Holidays 2.

I stamped the first one with Black pigment ink and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.

Then I used a Memento Dewdrop ink in Pearlescent Sky Blue to stamp some snowflakes around the greeting.

For the second card I used the blue ink to stamp the greeting and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.

Then I used a Lawn Fawn background stamp called Snowy Backdrops to stamp all around the card with Versamark Ink.

Then I heat embossed it with Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder. Two very simple cards but still pretty.

Hope you like them, take care and I'll see you soon.
