Polar Bear's Ugly Sweater

Good morning all, I hope you had a good weekend, and are having a good week so far. Today's card was my first attempt at over-stamping an image with a sentiment, after falling in love with This Card, on Pinterest. Although it didn't end up quite how I planned it, it was all good in the end, lol.

I started by stamping the Polar Bear's sweater with black Memento Ink, and then masked the sweater with full stick post-it notes, while I stamped the Polar Bear into his sweater. Both stamps are from Creative Stamping Magazine, Issue 50 stamp set, called Winter Warmers.

Once I had my bear I then found a sentiment that was large enough to go over him, and decided on this simple greeting from the Clearly Besotted, Laugh Out Loud, Christmas Collection.

I masked my bear again, and then stamped the greeting over him using Teal Zeal and Paris Dusk Memento inks. I used the Misti stamping tool, to help me get the spacing right.

This was all looking really good, until I dropped the ink pad on my panel, right near his head 🙅 !!! To say I wasn't happy was an understatement lol.

But I managed to save the card by cutting around the top of my bear, and then adding him to a teal card base,  where I added a snowy backdrop, using a Lawn Fawn stamp from the Snow Cool set. Then I finished it off with a few iridescent snowflakes from Studio Katia.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

You're 2 Cute

Good morning everyone, I hope you are having a good week.

Today's card is one I made for Jude's granddaughters 2nd birthday yesterday. I used a background paper for a change, this one was a magazine freebie a couple of years ago, but I love the colours and thought the bunting design was cute for a little girl.

For the main image, I cut a scalloped rectangle die from Tonic Studios, and then used a number from a Fancy Pants die cut set, and some cardboard adhesive letters for the sentiment.

I coloured the letters with Copic Markers to match the background paper and then cut a couple of WPlus9 Balloons from the Whole Lotta Happy set. I did one in a spotty card and the other in plain white card, which I then coloured yellow.

The little pink spotty star balloon is from the Clearly Besotted Laugh Out Loud set, and I gave them all a red twine string for a pop of colour.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Birthday Balloons

Good morning folks and welcome to June, hope you are having a good week. Today's card is another that I made for my granddaughters 5th birthday last Sunday.

I used the Clearly Besotted Laugh Out Loud stamp set and stamped balloons in Rose Quartz Crisp Dye Ink from Altenew, on to a plain white background.

Then I used the same stamps to stamp the balloons again, this time using Puffy Heart and Purple Wine inks. I cut them out with their matching dies and added white twine to the back of each one.

I used a sentiment and number from the latest issue of Creative Stamping magazine and cut the number out by hand.

Then I used foam pads to lift the balloons and tied all of the strings together and placed the number on top.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Over the hill

Good morning all, I hope you are having a good week. Today's card is one I made combining older and new to us, stamp sets from Clearly Besotted.

We have had the Feeling Sheepish set for a while and I still love those cuties lol. But when we got the Laugh Out Loud set a couple of weeks ago, I knew this sentiment would work perfectly with those sheep.

I stamped the images with Memento ink, coloured them with Copics and then cut them out with their matching dies.

I used a stitched landscape border from the Mama Elephant Stitched Border Trio set and then sat the sheep on top.

I stamped the balloons from the Laugh Out Loud set using Memento Dew Drop inks and then cut those with the dies too.

Then I stamped in the balloon strings and the sentiment, and added a Happy Birthday to finish it off.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.
