A New Baby Girl

Good morning all, I hope you are having a great start to your week, and if you are in the UK, enjoyed a nice long weekend.

We had a new addition to the family arrive last week, in the shape of my new baby granddaughter Willow. She was just a week early and is absolutely perfect. Today's card is one of the ones I made for her.

I used Tim Holtz Alcohol Pearl Inks to create a soft rainbow background on Yupo Paper, then I stamped, coloured and die-cut my elephants using the Clearly Besotted Love You Tons set and Copic Markers.

I added the images to my background and then framed and layered them using Lawn Fawn Stitched Square dies,. The sentiment is cut from the same piece of Yupo paper, using a couple of Cut and Make Sentiments.

Then I added it all to a 5.5 x 5.5 card blank to finish.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Mothers Day Roses

Good morning all, I hope you have had a good week. Are you looking forward to the weekend? Jude and I are off to the Creative Craft show in Birmingham this Sunday, so should be a nice day.

Today's card is the one I made for mum for Mother's day on Sunday. I used the Altenew Layered Rose die collection, from a recent copy of Simply Cards and Papercraft Magazine.

I used 3 different shades of pink card for the flowers and made the centre layer from a pink metallic card. This does give the flowers a lovely shiny texture.

I used a Stencil from The Works across the middle of a white panel, and stamped through it with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Ink. Then I cut the panel out with an MFT Stamps, Blueprints Stitched Rectangle die.

I added my flowers and leaves to the panel and then cut a sentiment with a Cut and Make Relatives die, and layered this 4 times to make it stand out.

I added the Mum die-cut to the panel and then used a sentiment stamp from a Clearly Besotted set called Love You Tons.

Then all it needed was a few pink pearls and I placed it all on an olive green card blank.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Love you tons

Good morning folks, hope you are having a good week. Alan and I are both off work today as it is our 16th wedding anniversary, so we are going out for the day, not sure where lol, but then we are going for a nice meal tonight.

Anyway, today's card is the one I made to send to Alan. I used the Clearly Besotted Love You Tons stamp, and stamped it with Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

Then I coloured the image with Copic markers, added a little sentiment underneath, and then cut it out with a Lawn Fawn, Stitched Square die.

I wanted to keep the card quite simple, so I chose the large spotty Anniversary stamp from Clearly Besotted and then used a couple of the other words that are in the set to make my sentiment.

I decided to use a 7 x 5 card blank for a change, which meant I had the room to add a background. So I chose some simple black and white spotty card, and added mats behind the image and sentiment.

I didn't think it needed a lot else, so I added a red enamel heart to the image and left it at that.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.
