Bee happy

Good morning all, I hope you have had a good weekend. Yesterday was Jude's birthday so we all went out for a family meal at a very nice country pub/restaurant. They gave us a private room upstairs as there was 15 of us and the food was excellent. So a very nice time was had by all.

Today's card is one I made for Jude from our brother John. I used the bee and cloud from the Lawn Fawn Hello Sunshine set and coloured the bees with Copic Markers.

The bee and honeycomb papers are from a Pebbles Inc pad called Garden Party, and I layered them with some orange Coredinations card.

I had my first attempt at a slider card, and I'm pretty happy with how it's turned out. I used a circle frame die from an MFT Stamps Blueprints Dienamics set, and cut the bee papers and card so I had 3 layers.

Then I used 5 pence pieces in the channel as pennies were a little big for this. I used two for each bee and cloud and joined them together with a foam circle.

Then I raised the outer layer and inner circle on foam tape to create the channel in the centre for the coins to move around. The sentiments came from the Gnome Sweet Gnome Lawn Fawn set and the Simon Says Stamp, Happy and Smile set.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Birthday presents

Good morning all and happy Monday. Hope you have all had a good weekend. We have been getting Mum settled in at home, all went well with her knee replacement, but she is off her feet for a few weeks until it heals. She is doing really well though and I've no doubt that she will be back line dancing sooner rather than later! ;o))

Anyway, today's card is a very quick and simple design. I used a stacked presents stamp that was a freebie on a magazine a while ago. I stamped it with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then coloured it with Copics. Then I cut it out by hand.

I used a couple of different balloon die sets, one is WPlus9 and the other is Paper Smooches. I coloured these with Dew Drop and Memento Inks to give them a bit of a translucent look.

The background paper is from a Pebbles Inc pad called Garden Party, and I used a blank DL card blank for the base.

I added the balloons and presents with foam pads and used these to hold the strings down. Then I just added a few silver sequins to finish it off.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Bee happy

Good morning all, hope you are having a good week.

Today's card is one I made using some new papers from a Pebbles Inc pad called Garden Party that I bought a few weeks ago in TK Maxx.

I love this bee and honeycomb paper so I thought I had better get to it before Jude did ;o))

I used my little Sizzix Bee die again on gold card and then coloured in some black lines.

Then I added the sentiment using Doodlebug ABC's.

I backed it all with black card and then added an inner paper and stamped Happy Birthday on to it.

This was the card that I sent to our little brother for his birthday on Sunday.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.
