I like your style

Good morning all, hope you are having a good week.

I have been trying to make myself use up some of the bits of paper from my scrap box, so thought I would have a go at a simple male card.

We recently purchased the glasses die by Taylored Expressions, and then in this month's Simon Says Stamp kit there was a little pair of wooden glasses.

Well it seems it was meant to be, so I cut quite a few of the glasses and then doubled the layers up to make them a bit thicker.

Then I got to work with the glitter pen and Copics to make them different colours. But as I wanted it to be quite masculine I stayed with a limited colour palette.

The stamp is from a Creative Expressions set that we have had for ages, but I thought the sentiment fit very well.

The card and papers are all from my scrap box, so at least I have made a tiny dent in it, lol. Then I finished the card with a layer of acetate over the front.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Muriel

Monday comes around so quick, doesn't it?

Today I have another Saturated Canary image called Muriel, to share with you.  I love the colours in this one.  They are all from the new Copic pens I bought last week.
For those who are interested the dress and boots are coloured with E04, V12, V17 and C7.  The hair is E08, E29 and E49.  The lips are E04 and R29, while the skin is E00, E11 and E21, with R20 for her cheeks.

I chose pink and purple DPs from my stash and added Spellbinders Gold Corners.

This is a rolled flower with some paper flowers and fern leaves.

A close up of the corner.

So there she is.  Hope you like her.

Forest Walk Winter

Good morning friends, I hope you are well today and enjoying a crafty weekend. We have been dog sitting this weekend for my daughter's dogs while they slipped away for a couple of nights. They are gorgeous dogs but they are really fussy and still quite hard work lol. But K and Ian are back later today so they can go home and our dog Molly will stop sulking lol.

Anyway, today's card is made using another gorgeous digi image from Saturated Canary. This one is part of the Seasons set and is the Forest Walk Winter image.

I coloured her with Copics and then cut her out with Spellbinders Opulent Ovals.

I inked around all of the edges with a Shaded Lilac Distress Ink and teamed her with some purple spotty paper from the stash.

I added some Shabby White Frantage to the image and then used a couple of dies for decoration.

The silver circle is a Tonic Die and the star semi circle is a new Marianne die.

I finished her off with a snowflake and a couple of iridescent gems.

Hope you like her, take care and Ill see you soon.

Fight like a girl

Hurrah for Saturday!  I intend to have a nice lazy afternoon in the craft room playing with my new toys.

I took advantage of a sale at Bunny Zoe Crafts and bought a few more Copics lol.

Today's card is made using the latest cancer awareness digi from Saturated Canary.

[Excuse the shadow, it was the cat!]

This star die is another new acquisition from Marianne Design.  This is one of the new October releases.

Some simple layering and inked edges made this a quick and simple make.  Hope you like it.

Angels Among Us

Good morning crafty friends. I hope you are well today.

This card is made using a Saturated Canary digi image called Angels Among Us. She is very sweet, unfortunately my pens kept running so she isn't coloured very well, but I still like her.

I coloured the image with Spectrum Noir markers and cut her out with Spellbinders Labels 22.

I've had this green floral paper in my stash for a couple of years and never found anything to use it on. But I think it goes quite well on this card.

I teamed it with some pale brown Coredinations card and then added some brown jute over the top.

I finished the card off with some die cut leaves and birds, a feather and a flower.

Hope you like it.

Take care and I'll see you soon.

Tilda

Jude here again with a sweet little Tilda card.

I used the Mojo Monday 366 sketch and will be entering this into the challenge.

Jen bought this stamp a while ago when she had a Magnolia splurge lol!  I coloured her with promarkers.

I made 4 rolled flowers and cut leaves from vellum.

The papers are all from my scrap box, as is the paper for the sentiment.

Everything was placed on a 6 x 6 card blank as the image is quite small.

Hope you like it.  TTFN Jude xx

Magnolia pencil colouring

Good morning crafty friends, hope you are all well today.

This is one of the projects that we did at the dabble day on Saturday. It's a small acetate covered picture and is really very pretty in real life.

We started with the stamped image and coloured it with a 9b pencil, just adding the pencil where we wanted the darker colour and then blending it out using a paper stump. I have never tried this technique before and I really like it. I think it gives a lovely soft effect to the flower.

We then cut the flower out and decoupaged it over another stamp of the same image.

We added some second generation stamping around the edge of the card and cut some butterflies from some more stamped card.

Two of the butterflies are decoupaged below the acetate and then the third is laid on the top. I've tried to get a picture to show how the acetate curves around the pic, this enables the whole image to stand up.

Then we just added a bow and a couple of stick pins to finish it off. Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.
