Window bear

Good morning all and Happy 'Good Friday'. I hope you are all having a lovely start to the Easter weekend, and looking forward to a nice long break, if possible. ✔

Today's card is one I made last year, but again never got around to blogging. I used a Tim Holtz brick wall embossing folder for the background, and inked it with Antique Linen, Vintage photo and Tea Dye Distress inks.

I used a Spellbinders Die D-Lites window die, to cut the window from dark grey card. Then I added a piece of patterned paper and a small bit of lace behind the window.

The little bear is from the WPlus9 Going Places stamp set, I coloured him with Copic markers and cut him out with his matching die. Then I popped him inside the window, to look like he was waving to someone outside.

I used a sentiment from a Lawn Fawn set called Party Animal, stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then mounted on to a piece of the dark grey card to finish it off.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you next week.

Wishing You a Happy Birthday

Good morning all, I hope you have had a good week. Today's card was one I made for Jude's granddaughter a couple of weeks ago.

For this card I inked a background on smooth white card using Tim Holtz Distress Inks, in Shabby Shutters, Tumbled Glass and Scattered Straw.

Then I combined a couple of WPlus9 stamp sets with a Mama Elephant set to make the images and sentiment.

I used the Going Places set from WPlus9 for the balloon and bear, and the little monkey comes from the Mama Elephant set called Up and Away.

I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and then coloured them with Copic markers and cut them out with their matching dies.

Then I added them to the inked panel and put them on an A2 card blank, made from bright orange card stock.

I added the sentiment from the WPlus9 set called Wishing You and then stamped Niece in the bottom corner using a Crafters Companion Female Sentimentals set.

To finish it off I cut a number 5 using the MFT Stamps Starlight Number dies and popped it on the front of the balloon.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Miss you already

Good morning all, I really hope that my blog scheduling is going well while we are away. This one is scheduled for Tuesday 26 July, so hope that's right!

Today's card is one I made for a lovely lady who left our team at work last week. She has now finished her placement and has moved on to start a new job, so this is the card we all signed for her.

I used the little critters from the WPlus9 set Going Places and the bunnies are from the Wishing You set also by WPlus9.

I coloured them all with Copics and then cut them out with their corresponding dies.

Then I made some window frames from black card and the MFT Stitched Square dies. I arranged them on a 7 x 5 card blank and then added all the animals in to the windows.

I love that they all look like they are waving lol. Then I wrote a sentiment on the PC and printed it on white card backed with black. Simple!!!

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Nannies little bunnies

Good morning all, I hope you are having a good week. Today's card is the one I made for Jude's granddaughters to give to her on her birthday last week.

Again inspiration for this card came from Pinterest, but I changed it up a little to suit what I needed it for. Jude's granddaughter's are her little bunnies (Warren is their surname) so I made sure it had two bunnies on the front.

The background is made using the MFT Vertical stars die, which I angled across the page. I coloured a piece of plain card in the colours that I used for the balloon to sit behind the stars to show through.

The balloon, clouds and bunnies are from the WPlus9 set Going Places. I stamped them with Versamark ink and heat embossed them with white embossing powder. Then I coloured them with Copic Markers.

The balloon I did in two layers. The bottom one is white card which I coloured then I put a vellum layer over the top.

I raised the images up on foam pads and added translucent sequins to the background. Then I used my tiny alphabet punches to punch 'Nanny' to finish it off.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.
