Poinsettia Wreath Card

Good morning all, I hope you have had a great week, and are looking forward to the weekend.

Today's card was again inspired by different cards on Pinterest, but changed to make my own. I started by stamping the branch wreath from a Creative Stamping magazine set, onto navy blue card stock using Versamark ink.

Then I heat embossed it with Ranger Fine Detail Embossing Powder in Liquid Platinum. We have had this powder for about 4 years, and are only just starting to think about getting a new one, they really do last for ages. It is one of mine and Jude's favourite colours as it is neither gold or silver and goes with both.

I then cut my panel out with an Avery Elle Wonky Stitched Ellements die, and put it on to a white card blank. The little poinsettia flowers came in one of my Wow Embossing Powder kits, and I layered them together and added a gold sequin to the center.

Then I added a few bits of white fern leaves and mistletoe to the flower, placed a small layered sentiment in the middle and some gold stars. Then to finish it off I added some white and gold gel pen flurries.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Poinsettias All Around

Good morning, hope you are all well and had a great weekend. I have had my grandsons over for a quick visit, as it's the youngest's birthday on Thursday. It was so lovely to see them, and for them to spend some time with their cousins.

Anyway, on to today's cards. I have three for you today as they are all using the same diecuts, just done slightly differently.

The poinsettia is a Memory Box stamp and die set, that we have had for a couple of years. For this card I heat embossed it with Simon Says Stamp Rose Gold Embossing Powder.

For this card I stamped it straight on to a red shimmer cardstock and then layered it with a red sparkle cardstock. I love the red and gold combo, and the tiny yellow brads in the centre.

The Embossing folder is the same on these two cards. It's a Crafter's Companion, split snowflake and snow folder with a plain strip in the middle, which is perfect for adding tape or ribbon.

For this final card, I stamped the poinsettia onto plain white card and then coloured two layers with green and red Wink of Stella pens. Then I layered them onto a red glitter layer, and added tiny homemade enamel dots to the centre with Nuvo Crystal Drops.

For all the cards I used a Merry Christmas die from a Frozen Forest set and the fern leaves are a Britannia die.

Hope you like them, take care and I'll see you soon.

Poinsettias

It's Christmas Eve! Only 24 hours to go until the big Ho Ho Ho!! LOL

Mum asked me to make her a few cards and today I can share them with you.

I used the same theme but different colours for these simple poinsettia cards.

This one is just black and white.  I used Centura Pearl card for the flower and embossed a plain white card for the background.

This one uses a holiday paper with dark red and green card for a more traditional feel.

Hope you like them.

Family Cards - Poinsettia's in Bloom

Good morning all, today I'm posting some of the cards I have made for family and friends. These are the ones that I have kept quite simple and flat as they had to be posted. I apologise for the amount of photos now lol.

I have used the Poinsettia die and stamp from Memory Box.

On most of the flowers I have heat embossed them with either gold or silver embossing powder.

I have used cream patterned card and embossed with an Embossalicious snowflake embossing folder on these ones.

Then matted them with gold card.

The greetings on these two are from a Simon Says Stamp (SSS) set.

On these ones I used more traditional colours and added in some green and red.

The swirl leaves are Diesire Dies from Crafters Companion.

This time I cut into one of the flowers and just used the centre bit for a pop of red.

The happy holidays stamp is also from Simon Says Stamp.

Then I used a full red flower on this one.

and a dots embossing folder.

I did personalise some of the cards for Alan's brothers and sisters.

and made them all slightly different.

Hope you like them, take care and I'll see you soon.

Christmas tag

I fancied getting inky painty last weekend but couldn't think what to do.  Jen was looking through all the Christmas stash and I decided to use some of the bits she found to make a tag for the tree.

I  covered the tag in papers from my stash and inked the edges.  I then inked through a stencil to add the holly before covering the whole piece in Glue and Seal.

The next step was to add texture paste through a leafy stencil and add berries.  Unfortunately when it came to adding glossy accents and embossing powder it all started to merge in to one piece, instead of separate leaves as it had been.  I decided to persevere and added a simple stamp before getting to work on the poinsettia.

This is the flower stamped, coloured and cut four times.  I left the bottom layers whole but cut the centre out of the last two before layering them all up.  I then cut the stamp a fifth time but only coloured the leaf sections.  I love how it has turned out.

I added some silky crush ribbon to tie it to the tree.  Hope you like it.

Flowery Christmas

Good morning all. Hope you are all well. Today's card is the one I made for Dad to give to Mum for Christmas.

I love this paper and toppers set. The colours are very traditional but also modern.

Mum loves flowers so I thought this poinsettia would be perfect.

Very simply teamed with matching paper and red ribbon.

Hope you like it. See you soon.
