Poinsettia Wreath Card

Good morning all, I hope you have had a great week, and are looking forward to the weekend. 

Today's card was again inspired by different cards on Pinterest, but changed to make my own. I started by stamping the branch wreath from a Creative Stamping magazine set, onto navy blue card stock using Versamark ink.

Then I heat embossed it with Ranger Fine Detail Embossing Powder in Liquid Platinum. We have had this powder for about 4 years, and are only just starting to think about getting a new one, they really do last for ages. It is one of mine and Jude's favourite colours as it is neither gold or silver and goes with both.

 I then cut my panel out with an Avery Elle Wonky Stitched Ellements die, and put it on to a white card blank. The little poinsettia flowers came in one of my Wow Embossing Powder kits, and I layered them together and added a gold sequin to the center.

 Then I added a few bits of white fern leaves and mistletoe to the flower, placed a small layered sentiment in the middle and some gold stars. Then to finish it off I added some white and gold gel pen flurries.

Colourful Butterfly

Good morning all, I hope you have had a good weekend, and have been enjoying the sunshine.

I thought I would share this bright and colourful card today, that I made using a stamp and die set from a recent copy of Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine. Issue 178.

Firstly I used a Mandala stencil from Aladine which came in the Spring Wow Embossing Members kit.

I taped the stencil onto white card and then inked through it with a small round blending tool using Fossilized Amber and Wild Honey Distress Oxide inks.

I cut the card to fit an A2 note card, leaving it slightly short on the sides so I could see the edges of the black note card beneath. 

I stamped and die cut my butterfly three times with thick white card, then I coloured the top layer using Copic markers. I stacked the three layers together to give it dimension and placed it on my card with a simple sentiment.

Anniversary wishes

Good morning all, I hope you are having a good week, and are looking forward to the weekend. Today's card is the one I made for my hubby Alan, for our 17th Wedding Anniversary earlier this month.

I used a heart stencil that came in one of my Wow Embossing members kits, and inked through it with Distress Oxide Inks.

I used Cracked Pistachio, Fossilized Amber and Squeezed Lemonade inks, just for a change of colour, as I do a lot of blue and pink etc.

I love this little heart and think the ombre ink effect really works well with it. I then cut the panel out using an Avery Elle Wonky Stitched Ellements die.

I used the Altenew Family Matters stamp set to create the first part of the sentiment, and then added the 'happy anniversary' using a Clearly Besotted stamp set called, Happy Anniversary.

I stamped the sentiments with Onyx Black Versafine ink, and then heat embossed them with clear embossing powder from Simon Says Stamp.

Hoopy Birthday

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you are having a good start to your week. I am continuing this week's theme of embossing, this time with heat embossing.

For today's card I used images from issue 56 of Creative Stamping magazine. All of the images in this stamp set have a sport theme, and they also include some punny sentiments.

I chose the basket ball stamps for this card, and started by heat embossing the hoop and net stamp with Onyx Black Versafine ink and clear embossing powder.

For the basketballs, I stamped them with Wow slow drying embossing ink, and then added Wow Metalline Flame Embossing Powder. This is one of the colours that came with the Spring Fling Members Kit.

I stamped one of the basketballs separately, and cut it out with a 1 1/4 inch circle punch. Then I added it in the hoop using foam pads to raise it.

I used one of the sentiments from the stamp set, and embossed the Hoopy in the same Metalline Embossing Powder and added the Birthday with Black Versafine ink.

Then I added the panel to a burnt orange note card using double sided adhesive sheets and some fun foam for dimension.

Love Hearts

Good morning all, I hope you have had a good weekend. We have had a busy one but nice too, as it was mother's day yesterday here in the UK, it was nice to spend some time with my children and my mum.

Today's card is very simple. I used a heart stencil that came with the February Wow craft kit, with Distress Oxide Inks.

I used a piece of Watercolour card and blended, Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers and Fossilized Amber  through the stencil.

I do love Distress Inks, as just using the three colours, gives you lots of different colours where they blend together.

I cut the panel with an Avery Elle Wonky Stitched Ellement die, and put this onto a pale blue card blank.

Then I added a simple sentiment from the Avery Elle Beautiful Bow set and cut it out with a Stitched Banner Die from MFT Stamps.

Merry Christmouse

Good morning all, I hope you are having a good week. I am very pleased to say that mum is now making a great recovery and could well be coming home tomorrow. Fingers crossed xx

We have two cards for the price of one today, as I wanted to try out a couple of new embossing powders from Wow that I got in their recently released members kit. I combined them with the Lawn Fawn Merry Christmouse stamp set and the Wow - To You and Yours set.

I stamped the sentiment from the Wow set with Versamark ink and then heat embossed it, firstly with Wow Primary Apple Red powder, and then on the second card I mixed Metallic Silver with Twinklebelle Glitter to emboss the sentiment and stars.

I stamped the mice and cheese with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then coloured them with Copic Markers. Then I stamped a couple of tiny red hearts using Versafine Satin Red ink.

I backed both of the cards with a coordinating colour matt and then added them to A6 note cards. Then I added a few matching sequins to finish them off.
