Welcome to Friday again ;)

 

We have almost finished with the family birthdays now until December, so hopefully we will be able to crack on with the Christmas cards.  Before then I have one last card for our Aunt who is 66 this weekend. 

I decided to use the Docrafts Papermania Vintage Notes Collection with a little washi tape, and this is what I came up with.

I took two of the linen feel papers, inked the edges with scattered straw distress ink, and layered them on a 5x7 card blank.  The heart topper and sentiment were matted on green card and the edges distressed and inked also.

The collection has matching flowers so I took four different ones and layered them to create this bloom.  The centre is silicone glue covered in dark flower soft and glitter.

I am pleased with the end result and hope Sheila will like it too.

Morning crafters

I've made a few items that I really would like to hang on my bedroom wall.  So the last few days I have been finding out pieces and adding a means to hang them

For example:

I've started work on another tag to add to them, but haven't got too far yet.  I took a plain chipboard tag like this..........

 

And added white acrylic and a layer of newsprint paper.

 

 

I'll finish it off later in the week.

Good morning folks. Hope you are all well. Today's card is one I have made using papers and toppers from a craft magazine. I think these papers are just gorgeous. 

 

 

I layered three different pieces of paper on to a 6x6 card blank and inked all of the edges with Antique Photo Distress Ink.

 

 

I used a punch to cut a scalloped circle out of paper to sit behind the topper and inked these also. The sentiment is also from the same set.

 

 

The flower is made up from pieces of the Tattered Florals Sizzix die. I cut these out of three different papers and then sprayed them with Cosmic Shimmer Vintage Mists in Patina and Antique Rose.

 

 

I added a couple of small flourishes and some hearts that I also cut with punches. I am trying to use them a bit more as they are one of the very neglected items in our craft room lol.

 

 

I finished the card with a couple of fancy brads, some pearls and a piece of ivory lace.
