Congrats Mr and Mrs

Good morning folks, I hope you are having a good start to the week. I have successfully managed to pick up the cold and cough that Jude and John brought home from New Zealand with them! Which wasn't great when we were at a wedding last Thursday and I had to try and suppress the cough all the way through the ceremony 😓😥. Who said that brothers and sisters always had to share?????

Right, now that I have finished moaning, today's card is the one I made for the Bride and Groom. The beautiful bride is Alan's great niece Sammy, so we travelled down to Bedford for a couple of nights to attend the wedding and catch up with 1 of Alan's brothers and his sisters.

For the card I used a linen heavy weight white card and used a Sizzix scalloped heart die to cut an aperture in the front. Then I used the X-Cut Floral Filigree Background die on plain white card, and cut the panel down to sit behind the aperture.

In our paper stash we had this off-white and pink piece of 6x6 card which came with a Simon Says Stamp kit, and the pink was in the shape of a heart! perfect.

I popped this all together and layered it with a piece of coral pink card, and then placed it all on a 7 x 7 card blank. Then I cut the sentiments twice each using the white linen card and the coral pink card. I used double sided sticky tape and stuck them together slightly offset, so that you could see the pink layer behind.

The Congrats is a Clearly Besotted die and the Mr & Mrs are from the Crafters Companion DieSire range.

I then raided the flower box and squeezed on as many matching flowers as I could, and even twirled a few stems for the curly bits lol.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Felt fun

Good morning folks, hope you have had a good week and are looking forward to a nice crafty weekend. I cannot believe how long ago I made this card, it's been sitting at the bottom of the draft list since last June 😲, It's only that Jude keeps moaning at me to get rid of the ones I'm not going to post that I remembered it was there lol.

I made this card for my great niece, when she turned 1. It was totally over the top, using lots of felt, but she loved it, and spent ages touching all the felt pieces. lol.

The little girl image is from a magazine freebie called My Best Friend Designer Stamps. I stamped her with Tuxedo Black Memento ink, coloured her with Copic markers, and then cut her out by hand.

I lightly inked a sky background with distress inks, and then cut a sloping hillside from plain green card.

All the little felt flowers, the dog, bee and the ladybird, came in small craft gift sets from John Lewis, which my daughter-in-law had got for me a couple of Christmas ago.

I used white card to cut a picket fence using a Diesire die from Crafters Companion, and then stacked up all the flowers and felt pieces with the coloured image on top.

I stamped the dog bowl and ball using a Lawn Fawn set called Critters at the Dog Park, then added a few stamped butterflies and a Lawn Fawn Scripty Sentiment to finish it off.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you next week.

Butterfly

Good morning all, hope you are having a good week. Today's card is all very pink and girly for a change.

I used a Creative Expressions set and stamped the background with Versamark Ink and then heat embossed it with white fine detail embossing powder.

Then I inked all over the page with Spun Sugar, Milled Lavender and Shaded Lilac Distress Inks. The ink doesn't take where the page is embossed, so it gives this lovely relief effect.

I used a butterfly from the Crafters Companion Diesire range and inked it with the same colours. Then I added the sentiments cut from silver card and put it all on a 7 x 5 card blank.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Flower Birthday

Good morning all, hope you are having a good weekend so far. Today's card is the one I made for our aunt who's birthday is today. I'm sure she will be having a lovely birthday as they are currently cruising around the Far East!. So happy birthday Sandra hope you have a lovely day.

I used a 6 x 6 card blank and chose some dark pink and pale pink card. Then I embossed the pale pink card with an Embossaliscious embossing folder.

For the flower detail I used a Diesire swirl leaf die and an MFT swirl die.

Then I added two different sizes of punched daisy's to some of the stems.

I used a stamp from a set that came free in a magazine and stamped it with Magenta Archival ink. Then I heat embossed it with clear fine detail embossing powder.

I used some bright pink ribbon across the bottom and then added a bow.

Then I finished it off with a punched butterfly, a little crystal butterfly and some pink and clear gems and pearls.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

If nothing ever changed....

....there'd be no butterflies.

Good morning all, hope you are well. Today's card was inspired by one I saw on Instagram a while back. Where they had done an inked design behind a die cut image, but I decided to use a patterned paper behind mine.

The die cut is a butterfly from the Diesire range by Crafters Companion,

and the paper is just one from the stash, that's been there that long I'm not sure where it's from.

The stamp is from a Creative Expressions set called Treasured Memories, and I stamped it using Memento Bamboo Leaves ink.

I added a few little pearls and flowers from a set Jude got at Christmas, and then put a few more down the back of the butterfly.

Then I matted it all with dark green card and used a 7x5 cream card blank.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Playing with the new dies :o))

Good morning all, yes that what I was doing while making this card. We had just taken delivery of 10 new Die D-Lites when I made this card so I had to have a little play.

It's a very simple card. I started with the background and used some Core-dinations card in brown and ran it through the Ebosser with the Regency Damask Embossalicious folder.

Next I added a piece of golden brown satin ribbon to the top right and bottom left corners and topped these with a little bow.

Then I used two of the new dies to cut some red cardstock and added these to the other corners. These are Fantastic Flourish Three and Frame One.

I finished the card with a ready made sentiment and resisted the urge to add anything else lol.

Before I log off today I would just like to say a very warm welcome and big hello to all our new viewers. The stats are showing viewings from all around the world now, which is absolutely amazing. We would love to know where you are if you want to leave us a message that would be great.

Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by again.

See you soon
