Jamie

Hello again and welcome to Wednesday.

Friday is my future son-in-law's 25th birthday and this is the card I have made for him. It's ok to share with you as he doesn't read this rubbish lol ;-)

The image is another Saturated Canary digi cut down.  It is the other half of Country Mama and measures about 2 by 2.5 inches.

I layered him up with papers from the Portobello Road collection and red cardstock.  The back layer is polka dot embossed card on top of a red gingham.

The sentiment is from a digital sentiments set I purchased last year and is also matted with red card.

I added two layers of blue ribbon to compliment the inner paper and the boy's t-shirt, them added it all to an 8 x 8 card blank.

I hope Jamie likes it lol.

Hello

Good morning all, hope you are having a good week.

Today's card is another male one as we need some for a birthday at the end of the week.

I started by selecting a couple of pieces of paper from the Ahoy There pad and using some dark blue Coredinations card to mat it with.

I layered the first sheet on to a 6x6 card blank and then used a couple of different sizes of dies to cut out the circles.

Then I cut a smaller circle from plain white card and then used the Hello die to cut out the word from the centre.

Once I had this done I cut the die again using the dark blue card and pieced this back into the white circle.

I layered them all on to the card and then added some string with three knots in down one side.

I dug out a few nautical themed embellishments and added these to the card and then finished it off with a few blue and turquoise sequins.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

"Oh, honey honey"

More colouring of Honey to share today. Colouring is all I seem to be doing lately lol.
First a blue version.

I'm not too happy with the hair but it's better than it has been.

Next a brown version.

This one is much better, don't you think?

That's it for today. TTFN Jude xx

Aperture card

Good morning all, hope you are having a good weekend. We are trying to get the craft room a bit more organised so the plan for today is to be a bit ruthless with the things we don't need. And actually get rid of them instead of just putting them up on higher shelves. Lol. Not sure how far we will get but here's hoping ;o))

Today's card was one of those where I couldn't sleep so was laid thinking of different ideas for male cards. I haven't made too many aperture cards in the past but I remembered this moustache stamp that we got a while ago and thought it would look good behind the oval cut outs.

I started with the top layer and cut the three ovals out of it using a fancy oval die. Then I ran it back through the Big Shot in a diamond embossing folder.

Next I layered it on to some blue card and taped it down to my craft mat to keep them in place. Then I stamped the moustache twice using black Archival ink and added the Happy Birthday greeting.

Then I fixed it all to a 7x5 card blank and raised the top layer using foam tape.

I did consider putting some acetate between and making it in to a shaker card but thought I would leave that for another one lol.

Anyway hope you like it. Take care and I'll see you soon.

Fairy dust

Happy Saturday my lovelies.  Hope you've got some crafting time scheduled for this weekend - I know I have ;)

One of the crafting magazines gave away a Lavinia stamp set on the latest issue and I had to try it out.  What do you think?

I stamped the image on hammered card in a very pale pink using momento ink in Tuxedo Black.  Ilove how crisp the image is even on textured card.

I couldn't reseist adding some rock candy distress glitter to the fairy dust and her wings.  It shines really nicely but doesn't show too well  in my pictures.

The sentiment was included and I think it's sweet.

I matted the image onto black card and added it to an 8 x 8 card blank, along with some more Grace Taylor paper.

That's all for me folks.  TTFN Jude xx

Sepia colouring

Good morning all, hope you are well. I've been a bit under the weather the last few days with a cough and sore throat, so hoping I'm starting to pick up now. :o)

For today's card I have had a first attempt at sepia colouring. I followed the instructions on the Spectrum Noir website and this is what I came up with.

The image is Honey by Saturated Canary. I used my Spectrum's to colour her with and then cut her out with Labels 29

I think she's probably a bit rich for a true sepia colouring but I don't think she turned out too badly for a first attempt. So I made her into a card.

I used a 6x6 card blank and some paper from a vintage pad, matted with dark brown Coredinations card.

I used some dark cream lace across the card and then added the Love die cut to the top.

I fashioned the big flower from some ready made petals and added the brad to the middle.

Then I inked up some cream roses and added theses to the bottom with a couple of fern leaves. I found that Gathered Twigs Distress Ink is pretty good for ageing things slightly.

I finished the card with a little envelope charm hung from the flower.

Hope you like it. Take care and I'll see you soon.

More colouring practice

Hello again!

I've spent some time colouring the Boobie Love image with different hair colours.

Here she is in black....

And my personal favourite, blonde.

What do you think?

I haven't got around to making cards with them but may do so later.
