Happy Friday!

Today I'm back with a birthday card for my granddaughter, who will be 7 on Sunday.

Happy birthday Keira Grace!

I made this card for her uncle to send to her.

I started by adding squeezed lemonade and wild honey distress oxide inks to a piece of white card.  I then stencilled over with the same colours.

I cut a layer from yellow card and added the inked piece in the centre.  To this I adhered a cat from the Cuddly Critter set by Simon Says Stamp.

The card base looked a little bland against this panel.  I stencilled the same pattern using antique linen ink before sticking the yellow panel to it.

I cut a balloon stencil from red card and added a gold number 7 using the starlight number die from MFT.  The cat is holding the balloon with some gold thread.

I like my sweet little kitty with her balloon.  What do you think?

Skipping

Hello everyone and thank you for joining us.

This card is another made for Keira's birthday.

I kept this one quite simple by using a ready made image.  This is from a Lili of the Valley Art Pad called For the Girls.  I think these are discontinued, but I love the 5 packs of different images we have.

I cut the image with a fluted edge die and matted it with navy blue card.  I did the same to the sentiment strip and to the paper used for the background.

Once these were all made I simply layered them together on a white card base.

To fill a little of the white space I stamped some hearts using the same Dusk ink used for the sentiment.

Birthday ballerina

Hello all.  Being away means I missed my granddaughter Keira's birthday on Saturday.  We had a celebration before I left but it's not quite the same.

The card I made for her uses the sweet little ballerina hippo from Clearly Besotted.  The set is called Trouble in a Tutu, and although she doesn't dance, this suits Keira to a tee!

I multi-cut loads of clouds using the Mama Elephant border trio set, then layered these on to a dark blue card stock.  It's good this didn't have to be posted as it weighs a lot!!

I used a simple sentiment in a banner, then added another from the set, beside the image.

To finish off I used gold Liquid Pearls to add lots of dimensional drops on the clouds, before adhering the panel to a black card base.

I think this looks like she is dancing through the clouds, and love how fun it is.

Fairy Garden

Hello again.  Today I have a card I made for Keira's birthday last week.

This uses the Fairy Friends stamp and die set from Lawn Fawn.

I heat embossed the images using a luscious rose gold embossing powder from Simon Says Stamp.  They were then coloured with Copic markers.

The hillsides are cut with the border trio from Mama Elephant and stacked to create the scene.

I used the cloud shaped die from this set to make a mask, then inked lightly over the edge to create the sky.  The ink is Altenew dye ink in Sea Glass.

I used the same embossing technique for the sentiment, then added Wink of Stella clear to the fairy's wings and the flowers.

Bugs and birthdays

Hello again.  Today I have another card made for Keira's birthday tomorrow.

This scene was made using the adorable little bugs from Clearly Besotted's Cute as a Bug stamp and die sets.

I stamped each of the critters using memento ink and coloured with Copic markers.  I added a little clear Wink of Stella to the wings of the bee and dragonfly, unfortunately it doesn't show in the pictures.

The white embossed sentiment is from the same set but the Happy Birthday came from another Clearly Besotted set called Laugh Out Loud.

I cut a cloud stencil and inked with Altenew dye ink in sea glass then cut the hillside using one of the Mama Elephant border trio dies.

Birthday bunny

Good morning all.  Today I have a little card to share with you that I made for my grand daughter's birthday on Friday.

The little bunny is from the Altenew set Bunny Love and is coloured with Copic markers and cut out by hand.  I thought the original looked a little cross, so I used a fine-liner to add a smile to her mouth and make her eyes bigger.

I used dies from MFT and Mama Elephant for the grass and hillside, and a flower border die from Lawn fawn.  I cut this from white cardstock, coloured with Copics and cut the flowers from the border to make the little flower bed.

The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamps Happy & Smile set, heat embossed with white embossing powder.

I added a number die cut that I've had kicking around for a while, which I coloured with a Copic marker to match the flower stems.

Mirror Mirror

Today I have the last of Keira's birthday cards to share with you.

This one was made for her parents to give to her.

The image is from another of the Lili of the Valley art pads.

I chose shades of red to match the colours in the topper, then added a simple sentiment.

Hippo Birdie

Hi folks.  Jude again with another of Keira's birthday cards.

I love this little Lawn Fawn stamp and die set.

I cut the images and layered them on white and red card, which I cut with stitched squares dies from  MFT.

Aren't they so cute!?

I love the play on words of the sentiment.

A very simple little card but so quick and easy.

Big Sister

Hello crafty friends.  Today I have the first of my granddaughter's birthday cards to share.  Tomorrow Keira Grace will be four years old!

This card is from her baby sister, Charlotte Rose.

I used some baby animals from a couple of different stamp sets and set them on a plain white background.

I raised the panel on some foam tape and used a pink card blank.

I coloured them in shades of pink and purple using Copic markers.

I then used some of our smaller dies to cut the sister and number 4 from dark pink card.

I love these cute little bunnies, and as the girls are called Warren, I thought them quite appropriate.

So that's her first card finished.

Big sister

Today my daughter is due to give birth to her second child.  That means my granddaughter Keira is about to become a big sister, so I made her a card from the baby.

We already know our newest addition is a little girl so I thought this picture was appropriate.

It is a Lili of the Valley image from the Art Pad called Just for Girls.

I love pink with navy blue and these papers from Dovecraft fit fabulously with my image.

I also used my favourite Lawn Fawn stamp set, but this time chose a different sentiment.

I'm sure Keira will be a great big sister, even if she doesn't like the idea at the moment lol :)

All Dressed Up

Good morning all, hope you are well today.

This card is one I made a couple of weeks ago for my great niece for her 3rd birthday. To be honest I had forgotten that I hadn't blogged it ;o))

The image is from All Dressed Up, and I coloured it with Copics and Spectrum Noirs.  

I cut her out by hand and then found some coordinating papers in the stash. 

The flowers are a mixture of paper and fabric ones all placed on a paper doily. 

I inked the edges with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink, then I added a number 3 and a simple sentiment. 

 

I finished the card off inside with a small strip of the green paper.
