Baby Boy Blue

Good morning all and happy Hump day, or Wednesday, whichever you prefer lol. I hope you are all having a good week.

Today's card is the 2nd of the new baby boy's cards that I needed in the space of a couple of weeks. So I went back to the same style as the first one that I made, and just changed it up a bit.

For this version, I used Altenew Inks from the Sweet Dreams set, and the Concord & 9th Hugs and Kisses Turnabout Stamp. When I had stamped the hearts, I used a Spellbinders Circle die to cut them out, and then added the circle to a Stitched Rectangle die cut, using craft foam for Dimension.

The little elephant was made with different tones of blue Alcohol Ink, onto Yupo Paper, with a bit of Silver Mixative. I used an MFT Stamps Die from the Wild Things set to cut him out, and used a Cut and Make die to cut the sentiment from the same piece of Yupo Paper.

I added the panel to a blue note card, and then used some Nuvo - Calming Aqua and Caribbean Ocean Crystal Drops with some Sea Breeze Jewel Drops to finish it off.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Hello Baby

Good morning folks, I hope you are all well. The hubby, Jude and I have a few days off work this week, to sort out the loft etc. I am hoping that we can finally get the rest cleared and taken to the charity shops or the rubbish tip. It does feel good to be getting rid of some of the years of collected rubbish, but I am hoping to for a bit of rest and craft time too, but we'll see lol.

Anyway, today's card is one I made for a friend of my son and daughter-in-law's who had a little baby boy last week.

I used the Deer to Me stamps and dies from Clearly Besotted. I stamped and masked to make my little scene, and then coloured it with Copic Markers.

Then I cut the scene out with a Lawn Fawn Stitched Square die and matted it with a piece of dark blue card.

The patterned paper is from a Studio Calico 6x6 pad, and I used a 6 x 6 card base to layer it all on.

Then I used the Lawn Fawn Owen's ABC's to stamp and die cut the baby's name and date of birth.

I used Memento Dew Drop Nautical Blue ink to match the card and cut them out with their matching dies. Then I just added a little bit of clear Wink of Stella to the clouds to finish it off.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

It's a boy

 Hello again :)

This card is one I made to send to our cousin Andrew and his wife Emma, on the birth of their son.

Oscar was born 23rd May and both he and Mum are doing really well.  His big brother Oliver loves him - a lot!

The die cut is from My Favourite Things and is called Wild Things.  I stamped the cut out portion and added it to the inside.

The ink is pale blue pigment ink and I really like it for embossing as it seems to stay wet longer.  It also worked well on the congratulations stamped image.

I think this is a really sweet looking giraffe.  I intended to colour him in but I like him just as he is.

Now to get it in the post lol.

Baby snuggles

Welcome crafters.  Hope you're week is going well so far.

At the weekend Jen and I went to visit the newest member of the family, Master Seth.  Our cousin Sarah and her husband Scott were blessed with a beautiful little boy a couple of weeks ago.  Unfortunately due to illness we haven't been able to visit, but we made up for it!
He's rather yummy, tiny, cute, squidgable (that's a real word where babies are concerned, lol) and unfortunately very like several other family members!  His Mummy and Daddy think he's beautiful anyway, but I'm hoping he'll grow out of it ;)

Anyway we took along a card and a gift for Mummy, who is looking surprisingly well following the rather traumatic birth.  Seth was well on his way when he got stuck and an emergency section had to be performed.  Thankfully both he and Sarah were fine, just a little shocked by how quickly things can change.

Anyway on to the card.  The idea came from a card I spotted on Pinterest, and I adapted the style to suit a little boy.
I was going to put something like "if you think these wheels are expensive just wait until I'm 17 and I ask for a car!", but decided against it lol.

I love these Kaisercraft rub-ons, as you can make loads of sentiments from them.  Like this.........

....and this.............

and this!  This is a whole piece but you can cut up some of the sheets to make individual sections which makes them far more versatile.

So that's my make for today.  Hope you like it.
