Singing Wryn

Good morning crafty friends and welcome to another 'Hump day'. Why is it that most Wednesday's feel like they go on forever? unless your doing something fun of course! But unfortunately I'm not doing anything fun, I'm at work today and have a training course this morning :o(

Today's card is made using the lovely little Tiddly Inks stamps that came free with a magazine recently. I'm not sure what she's called but I call her Singing Wryn lol.

I coloured her with Copics and cut her out with a Spellbinders Opulent Ovals die.

I used the larger sized die to give her a mat and then used papers from the latest Simon Says Stamp kit and a Kaisercraft Christmas pad.

I used olive green Silky Crush ribbon across the centre and added a little angel charm.

I used a simple sentiment again and then added the musical notes using a Spellbinders Die D-lites die called Love Notes.

Hope you like her, have a good day. See you soon.

Over the Hill

Good morning all, hope you are well today.

This card is one I made for Mum to send to Alan for his birthday. The Image is Eunice Over The Hill by Ladybug Crafts.

I coloured it with Spectrum Noir pens and then cut it out with Spellbinders Opulent Ovals.

I used a 7 x 5 card blank for a change and typed up the sentiment on the computer.

The paper is from the stash and I found a couple of pieces of  ribbon to match.

I finished the sentiment off inside and added another piece of the patterned paper.

Hope you like it, take care, see you soon.

Happy Birthday Kiki G, 3 today

Good morning all, hope you are having a good week. Today is my great niece's (Jude's granddaughter's) 3rd birthday. So happy birthday Keira Grace, hope you have a very special day.

Today's card is the one that I gave you the sneak peak of on Sunday.

This is Pixie Dust Cloud from Saturated Canary.

I coloured her with Copics and Spectrum Noirs and then cut her out with a Spellbinders Opulent Ovals die.

I used a gold card blank as the base and then added a sheet of dark purple vellum over the top.

Then I added white card with an oval cutout and used a tonic border punch down both sides.

I raised the image on some foam pads to give it a bit of depth. Then finished the card with a couple of sentiments and some flowers.

This card was serious hard work. Mr Mojo is off on his holidays again! so I'm struggling lol. If you saw the messing about I did to get the frantage on this image you wouldn't believe it. But Jude rescued me and that is why the image ended up being cut out with the oval shape lol.

Oh well never mind, enjoy your week folks, take care and I'll see you soon.

Pretty note book

Good morning, hope you are all well today. I'm mainly making cards for birthdays at the end of the week at the minute. So unfortunately that means I can't share them yet lol. So today we have a little altered notebook.

I bought a pack from one of our local discount shops and this is how it started out.

After a little bit of TLC this is how it ended up.

I covered the front with card stock and then used a Lili of the Valley image for the main topper. I cut this out with Spellbinders Opulent Ovals and added it to the front.

I used a Tonic border punch to make the fancy piece at the top and then used a single hole punch all the way along so that I could thread the cover back on to the binding rings.

I added some cream lace and a piece of green ribbon to the bottom and then finished it off with a matching bow and some stick on letters to spell Notes.

Hope you like it.

Take care and I'll see you soon.

Isabelle and Princess Peanelope

Welcome to June!  Isn't the time passing quickly?

I have the last of Isabelle's birthday cards to share with you today.  This is Princess Peanelope, and yes it's another Krista Smith image lol.

I'm doing a lot of practicing with colouring, especially trying to work on shading, and this one didn't turn out too shabby.

I cut Peanelope out with an opulent ovals die and drew around the outside of it to create the matt.

I love these zingy citrus colours so stuck to a very limited palette.  Even the ribbon and pearls tone well.

The sentiment is from a new die set Jen bought and I used some of our flower punches layered together for the embellishments.

I added a number 2 before letting Mum have the card to send to Isabelle.

Hope you like it as much as I do.  TTFN Jude xx

Anniversary #1

Morning all.  I've been asked by a friend to make some 30th anniversary cards.  She has three couples who all celebrate this milestone in the next few months and would like something different for each of them.

This is my first attempt.

The papers are from our stash matted on to dark red card stock.  I added a Tonic punched border and some chunky ric rac across the join.  The central element is the largest Spellbinders Opulent Ovals die inked with Antique Rose Cosmic Shimmer Vintage Mist.  I've used the same spray on the flowers.  These are a mix of Tattered Florals and Blossoms Three.

I used a rub on sentiment and cut it into three banners.  The centre was then raised on foam pads.

After I'd photographed it I suddenly realised I hadn't added the leaves or flower centres!  With those attached this is the final product.

Hope you like it. TTFN Jude xx

Sophia and flowers

Good morning all, hope you are all having a good week. I've been having a bit of a look around blogland for some inspiration this week and came across Digi Stamp Boutique from one of the blogs I visit regularly. Well all I can say is I ended up buying 9 new digis! lol. So today's card is made with one of those.

This is Sophia and flowers.

Isn't she a cutie? I coloured her with Spectrum Noirs and cut her out with Spellbinders Opulent Ovals. Then went around the edge with Scattered Straw Distress Ink.

The papers are from the Kaiserkraft Sweet Pea collection and the yellow card is Coredinations.

I added small flat backed gems to the centre of the flowers and then added flowers and leaves from the stash.

I finished the card with a little gold heart charm. What do you think? Hope you like it. Take care and come back soon.

More Anniversary Cards

Yes, sorry I haven't been able to get in to the craftroom yet to make anything new so today will have to be more anniversary cards.

These are the ones I made for other members of the family to send to Mum and Dad.

This is a super cute little pyramid topper.

and another layered topper from a Hunkydory set.

Then on to a bit of stamping and heat embossing with pigment ink.

Then finally the one we sent them. The flowers stamped with black archival and then mounted on to Opulent Ovals in black Centura Pearl card. Then matted with White Centura Pearl card which I embossed with the Entwined Hearts folder.

Hope you like them all, I know Mum and Dad did.

See you soon, take care.

Happy Anniversary

Good morning all, I'm finally back on my feet again after the horrible tummy bug. I hope none of you succumb to it as it really takes it's toll this one.

Anyway, today's card is for my son and his girlfriend as it's the anniversary of when they met today. I think it is 9 years! So I hope they both have a wonderful day.

I started with the flowers and tied them together in a little bunch with a gingham bow.

Then I cut a frame using Spellbinders Opulent Ovals and some black Centura Pearl card.

I mounted them both on to a 7x5 card blank and then stamped the sentiment with black Memento ink on to a scrap of white card. I then mounted this with the black card too.

I finished the card with a tiny little charm that says Made with love.

Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by again.

Take care and I'll see you soon.
