Hula Hoop Love

Hello again, I'm back with another simple card for you today.
I've also used a DL card blank which is a size I don't use very often.

For this card I used another Saturated Canary image (I know I always use these, but I REALLY like them! lol)
This one is Hula Hoop Love.  She is coloured with Promarkers.

The background is plain card from the stash with a bunting paper from Jennifer Ellory's 'Bake a Cake' pack.

I added twine and a heart shaped button, which was coloured with a blue Promarker, to match.

Hope you like it.

Hugs and Kisses

Good morning folks, hope you are all well.

Today's card is another I made for Keira's birthday on Tuesday. This time using the Hugs and Kisses digistamp from Saturated Canary.

I coloured her with Copics and Spectrum Noirs and then gave her a bit of a dotty background.

I used a Grand Decorative Labels One die for the background and layered it on to a scalloped 8 x 8 card blank.

The papers are a bit of a mix from then stash, and I added in a bit of matching bunting across the middle.

I die cut the 3 Today twice and layered them together, then gave them a covering of Glossy Accents.

The little butterfly is a die cut too and I gave him a bit of a makeover with tiny gems and pearls and more Glossy Accents.

Hope you like it, take care and I'll see you soon.

Reading Beauty

I was very busy yesterday as it was my grand daughter's birthday.  Consequently I didn't have time to make a card for today until after 9pm!!

This is what I came up with.

I completed the image several weeks ago when I had a colouring frenzy, lol.  This made it much easier to put together a quick card.

The papers are from the stash and I can't remember the brand - sorry.

The little metal tags we have had for ages and this is the first one out of the packet!  They are very heavy so I won't use them on cards that have to be posted lol.

I'll be back on Friday, hopefully with a card that isn't made at the last minute!

Happy Birthday Kiki G, 3 today

Good morning all, hope you are having a good week. Today is my great niece's (Jude's granddaughter's) 3rd birthday. So happy birthday Keira Grace, hope you have a very special day.

Today's card is the one that I gave you the sneak peak of on Sunday.

This is Pixie Dust Cloud from Saturated Canary.

I coloured her with Copics and Spectrum Noirs and then cut her out with a Spellbinders Opulent Ovals die.

I used a gold card blank as the base and then added a sheet of dark purple vellum over the top.

Then I added white card with an oval cutout and used a tonic border punch down both sides.

I raised the image on some foam pads to give it a bit of depth. Then finished the card with a couple of sentiments and some flowers.

This card was serious hard work. Mr Mojo is off on his holidays again! so I'm struggling lol. If you saw the messing about I did to get the frantage on this image you wouldn't believe it. But Jude rescued me and that is why the image ended up being cut out with the oval shape lol.

Oh well never mind, enjoy your week folks, take care and I'll see you soon.

Male cards

Happy Monday peeps!

I don't know about you but Jen and I struggle with male cards.  I've been scouring Pinterest for ideas and came across one that could be appropriate for several ages depending on the topper used.

We have a couple of male birthdays coming up and I can think of several ways to adapt this to fit. For this one I stayed very generic.

The choices for the ribbon or shape are endless.  I happen to like stars, so I can see this being the basic template for my other cards.

The birthday stamp is one of several designs we have, so again I could make the same card and, with slight tweaks, make it look completely different.

A simple and very versatile design.

Sneak Peak

Good morning all, hope you are enjoying your weekend. I'm busy working on birthday cards as we have some special birthdays and events coming up in the next few weeks. But it does mean I can't show any of them yet!!!

So today I'll give you a little sneak peak of one I've just finished.

The image is Pixie Dust Cloud from Saturated Canary and she's gorgeous.

I won't go in to any detail on the card as I will be blogging this one later this week.

Hope you don't mind the sneak peak today.

Take care and I'll see you soon.

The Collector

Happy Saturday one and all.  Today I am starting my summer holiday.  Two whole weeks off work, and I am so looking forward to it :D

I am hoping to get some serious crafting time in, but I think there are plans being made for me to be busy most days!  Oh well I'll sneak some time in somewhere lol.

My card today is made using one of the fabulous Gorjuss girls.  This one is The Collector coloured with Copics and Promarkers.

I layered her on several black papers from the stash and used deep red accents.

I'm quite happy with how she turned out.  Hope you like her too.
